"Everyone!", Mrs Park calls out as the rest of the students swarm closer to the bus to get their bags and suitcases. "Put your belongings in a locker, which are next to the dining hall. Then, go and meet your camp group leader!"
"The papers with your group leader's name will be put on the large noticeboard by the lockers. Your teammates' names will also be there. Your leader will teach you how to set up your tent. Now go, hurry!", Mr Jin instructs us as he keeps handing out the bags.
Daehyun gives me my suitcase, and puts his arm around me so that it is hanging off my shoulder.
"I hope we're in the same group", he says to me as we both pull our suitcases in unison. "It'd be another way for us to continue to get to know each other as a couple"
"Like a 'bonding session'?", I quote with a laugh, remembering what he said on the first day we talked.
He laughs back. "Yeah. Like that"
We keep on walking to the lockers, but Daehyun speaks up.
"Why was Jungkook holding you like that before?", he asks, staring at me.
"Like what?", I ask with an innocent voice.
"He was basically hugging you. Jungkook doesn't seem like a hugger", Daehyun points out.
"He was helping me by tightening the straps on my back pack", I explain to him while pointing backwards at my back pack.
He frowns. "Helping?", he questions, in a slightly cross way.
I put my arm out and pat him on the back. "Calm down. It was only because he pushed me off the bus and probably felt the need to apologise without saying 'sorry'"
Daehyun's frown doesn't get any better. "He pushed you off the bus?"
"Okay, you're confusing me", I say as we stop in front of two empty lockers with a single key taped to each one. "So you're mad when he helps me, and you're also mad when he pushes me off the bus"
Daehyun nods as I roll my eyes.
"I don't get it", I say as I shake my head, unzipping my suitcase. "Would you prefer it if Jungkook was nice or rude to me?"
He doesn't maintain eye contact with me, but mumbles as he starts putting some of his shirts in his locker.
"I'd rather if you guys stayed away from each other"
Once I open my locker, I slam it back again.
"He was just helping me with my bag strap", I snap at him. "He wasn't asking me out. As if he would"
"Of course he wouldn't"
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"I mean", Daehyun starts off, "I wouldn't let him ask you out, even though he never would, because I'd beat the crap out of him"
I nod and raise my eyebrows at the same time. I open my locker again and begin putting all my stuff in.
"You could've chosen not to sit with him on the bus", Daehyun shrugs.
"I owed him something", I reply.
"You would've have much more fun with me", he continues, as if I didn't say anything.
"We ate his food. I actually had fun", I say with a shrug.
"What?", Daehyun suddenly stops putting his things in his locker. "Fun? Please tell me you're joking"
"If you're going to get irritated easily, just stop bringing this topic up", I tell him, wrinkling my nose in annoyance.
"What if he poisoned the food? You could've easily digested unhealthy chemical stuff, Mijin", Daehyun says to me crossly.
