When can we say we know everything? I say, never. Knowing everything means giving up. You already know everything, so what's next?
But that's not the topic for this chapter. I simply want to talk about knowledge.
Knowledge, as they say, is power. Truth. A person who holds more information than the others has more control of the situation. Knowledge can destroy or make a person's life. Knowledge runs the foundation of our lives. Why did I say that part? It's because of the question that everyone comes across sooner or later, and that is 'why am I here?', 'who am I?', 'what is my purpose?'. That knowledge, that one information that is nearly impossible to have, is what keeps all of us going. We needed purpose, so we find one.
I'm not sure if I conveyed properly what I am trying to say here.
See, with knowledge, we can be anything and do anything, it is that powerful, but as powerful as it is, it has a price.
Everything is governed by the laws of the universe, and one of this laws is very familiar. The law of Change. Under this law, it has Fate and Karma, two of the things that governs cause and effect. They are the ones that says, 'what you do is what you get'.
What does this have to do with knowledge having a price? I'm sure you already know the answer. Knowledge, as powerful as it is, whether a small or big detail, causes large impacts. I'm sure you can relate since as you grow up, as you live in this world, you keep on discovering new things, gathering new information that changed your beliefs, your thoughts, your whole life. Ask this, if you haven't, am I still the same person when I was still ten years old, twelve, eighteen, twenty five? The answer will always be a no. True, there are some parts that you retained, but that didn't mean you didn't change to a whole new person.
But let's go back to the very first question, when can we say we know everything? I answered never. Obviously, because it's impossible, and also, we cannot know some things such as the future, and emotions... unless you're suicidal.
But also, if we know everything, we stop learning and discovering, thus losing our purpose.
If we know everything, we stop accepting knew things, thus narrowing our vision, our perspectives.
If we know everything, we become too powerful that we become nothing.
That's why having enough knowledge is good, because that means you have a lot more to learn, a lot more adventures. Live with what you know, and never stop learning. Never close your mind.
That's what knowledge is for me, what is yours? Let's talk about it, I wanna know. xD
