Khai was no longer mad, at least. He told me everything about his inner workings. Slowly but surely he was becoming an open book. I was able to read a new chapter every day. I got to know him so much, I knew him like my own body. I knew what made him shiver, what made him feel hurt and what made him angry. I knew him. I really did. And when the door down stairs banged against the cupboard, I knew his eyes would shoot wide open. So I gripped his arm and pinned him firmly to the bed and told him to let me handle it. He tried to test me but I assured him he needed to rest. He made a guttural sound and rolled his eyes.

In the corridor the sound of banging fists on the cupboard were very loud followed by a low feminine sob. When I entered the kitchen, Eddie was kicking the oven and banging his fists on the counters. Kyle sat on the chair staring into space. Linda was in the arms of Hannah, her shoulders moving up and down in the control of her weeping. I tried to spot Blaine anywhere but I couldn't see him or catch his human scent. "What happened?" I asked calmly.
"I won't let him I won't. Mama I promise." Eddie growled as he stormed out the door and ripped into his brown wolf. Linda left the comfort of Hannah and wiped her tears away. Was it always this dramatic in this household?
"He wants to take me to court for full custody of the boys." Linda hiccuped. "And I know he will win because I'm not even a real person. Law, law, what do I know about law?" Linda was shattered once more and now in his absence the negative aura was back. Her sadness was slowly rubbing off on me but I took my mind elsewhere. Linda was a grown woman so she could handle this, my mind was centred on Eddie and Kyle. While Eddie was on rampage Kyle did not even move, he sat there staring into space. His tall legs were crossed and his jade eyes looked like they were about to set fire to the toaster. His fingers pinched his chin as he pursed his lips. I left Linda hanging to attend to Kyle. He seemed intimidating for once in his life and completely unapproachable.
"You okay?" I asked, steading myself on his shoulder. His Adams apple slid up and down and his jaw clenched when his head nodded forcefully.
"Where is Eddie?"
"He just took a run."
"Lets go look for him."
"He'll be fine." Kyle bellowed so simply and looked at the floor. I bet he was tired of his overly dramatic brother and his childish temper tantrums.
"No he won't, he's angry." I pressed.
"Isn't he always?"
"Kyle!" I half shouted half whispered. "Lets go look for him." His eyes shut and he groaned, standing up.
"We're going to look for Eddie." Kyle said as he put his hands in the pockets of his brown pants. Linda looked up with glossed eyes and approved. With that he pushed himself out the door and took off this faded yellow buttoned shirt. I stepped outside and watched him strip to his toned body-oh damn! Why was I checking him out? Once he was done he shifted into an identical brown wolf to Eddie's, going a lighter shade of brown at his face. He then flicked his head at me and I started undressing, taking to mind how Khai felt about us ripping clothes apart and something about money not growing on trees when clearly it did. My bones dislocated and morphed into my wolf form.

The sun was eternal in the sky and she graced me with strength. In the air was Eddie's distance scent which Kyle hurled himself in the direction of. I caught up easily to his side and we ran deep into the dense forest. Truly it was more beautiful now under the hands of spring. The little flowers blossomed near rocks covered in moss and rivers flowed so harmonically in the peace of the forest. It was blissful and too good to be a home to so much hatred. The air was fresh and adaptable, it was content but we had an issue at hand. Eddie's scent was becoming stronger and at the sight of him Kyle howled, trying to get him to slow down. I howled as well but the boy was not slowing down. It was getting annoying. I even wanted to scold him and slap some sense into him. He wasn't supposed to be out so far alone, especially knowing that the Azraels are still alive somewhere out there. They would use anything to their advantage, even Eddie. My speed increased, making me leave Kyle behind in the dust. I was now right on Eddie's tail. With every stride we took, the path we were on was getting more and more familiar but I still increased my speed until I was right beside him and shoved him to the side. Eddie faltered but still kept on going. But I didn't give up, I was eventually going to knock some sense into him so I shoved him again, this time into a tree that prolonged him but he kept on going.
