This is a rant. Nothing in this is important but you can read it. I am writing this because I don't see my friends enough to tell them everything. So here we are.
I'm sure y'all have already seen this, as the info has spread through Wattpad like a wildfire, but here we go.
Here's a summary of all the different versions I've seen.
People are stealing stories and posting them on a Viennese (I think) site called Doc Truyen. Just look up your username and Doc Truten together and you may see that your story has been stolen. Me, I'm not very popular or well known but one of my books has been stolen. So check, but READ THIS ENTIRE CHAPTER FIRST!
One version I read says you should change your password to avoid hacking. But another one says that there is no need because it is likely just copy and paste. I didn't but you can if you wish to be safe.
Don't click the link. One thing I saw was that the site was prone to viruses. If you had clicked the link after seeing a similar thing on another book, or blatantly ignored my warning to read the whole book first, then you might want to scan your device for viruses or something, I'm not sure. That's a question for the other Dell. But just seeing that there is a link should be proof enough.
The stories on the site do give you credit, so now I bet you're wondering what the big deal is. The big deal is, according to another book, that they say you gave them permission. They have my book and I didn't give anyone permission to use my story. I'm sure they don't have your permission either.
Wattpad is trying to fix this problem. I don't know how long it will take and I'm not an expert, but I know this much and feel it is my job to share this with y'all.
Tag as many people as you know (but only to the ones on Wattpad, duh) to this book or another one saying basically the same thing. I would also suggest putting this information on one of your books.
