Who Am I?

My Parabatai

   As I drew the rune on Adam's back. I was so nervous my hands were shaking. It didn't help that we were in a ring of fire either. I thought as beads of sweat rolled down my forehead.
   "Hey, calm down and don't mess up my rune." Adam said smiling and instantly calming me down. He was calm in situations like this while I on the other hand was the one worrying. That was why we were the perfect pair. The lines I was drawing came easily, flowing from my stele to his skin. After I finished he drew my rune with the same, if not more, agility and precision as I. We decided to get our runes in the same place on our backs towards our right shoulders.
   "Congratulations" Everyone’s voices filled the room at same time once we completed. Adam smiled down at me.
   "Yeah congratulations you're officially stuck with me....for the rest of our lives."
   "Ugh don't remind me" I said grabbing his hand and pulling him towards the door while rolling my eyes and smiling.

     "Hey Lee, remember when the redhead and her boyfriend found out that they were Valentine's children?" My dork of a Parabatai asked coming in my room and jumping on my bed like a hyper toddler. It looked kinda funny because like many shadowhunters he was very tall and about once every 4 jumps he went too high and bumped his head.
  
   "I guess" I replied half asleep

   "Well it seems like they've somehow displeased the Inquisitor and since she loves me she has requested that I go to the New York Institute and help them with their troubles." Adam said, doing air quotes around the word help.
   
      "You mean spy on them." I clarified

     "Well when you put it that way you make me sound evil and im not, im an angel." He said smiling widely

    "Half angel! The other half is evil." I said laughing before my face met the the  hardwood floor with a loud thump.

   "Hey! You pushed me, jerk." I said getting to my feet and jumping on him, and hitting him. He laughed while telling me stop before pinning me down and tickling me.

       "Fine, fine, okay I give up." He sat down opposite of me.

      "But if you wanna go then I have to agree." I said while looking at him and smirking.

       "Well.....?" He asked hopefully raising his eyebrows. I just stared at him giving of no facial emotions.      
       
            "Leeee don't you wanna make your Parabatai happy?"    

        "No." I simply said and within 2 seconds he leaped at me and started tickling me again.

        I lasted about 30 seconds before giving up.

      "Okay, okay I give up. I'll go, i'll go! Adam stoppppp!!!!" I was squealing like a pig. I hated being tickled and Adam knew that once he stopped I took few deep breaths and thought over my decision. I mean I would love to go back to the United States, but what if my brother found out I wasn't in Europe, which is where I told him the boarding school was. I mean he would be furious and demand an explanation. But what would I say? Not the truth of course. And what if the other shadowhunters found out about me? Would they tell and/or be disgusted? I mean I dont exactly know the shadowhunters in New York, they could be horrible and mean! By the angel, I can't go. I mean what if.. My thinking was interrupted with Adam pulling lightly on a strand of my blonde hair.
      
       "You think way to much Lee. You're coming and that's it. So we leave thursday, which is in three days so get packed and be ready or i'll tickle you to death."

     And he left my room after that leaving me to do more worrying. I really hope this works out for Adam, because if it wasn't for him I wouldn't even be going at all. Oh the things I do for him. I thought before sighing and laying back down on my bed and snuggling into my pitch black comforter and pillows.

            Okay so this is my very first book i'm actually posting. It's a Mortal Instruments fan fiction. Now The Mortal Instruments series is by one of my favorite authors Cassandra Clare so if you haven't read that I don't know if this will really make sense. This chapter is boring and short because I never know how to begin my books. In the beginning of the chapter was a flashback from when Leah was 13 and Adam was 16. It was their Parabatai ceremony.
