The Cat and The Bug

Marinette's POV

Marinette was late to school. Again. She grabbed her jacket, bag and purse and rushed put of the  door. "Bye mom! Bye papa!" 

"don't forget the macaroons!" Mari father yelled. She ran in to get them. "Thanks papa!" and was gone.

She was at the cross walk, and I was helplessly crossing the street, a car not to far from hitting me. Marinette ran to me in time and pulled me to the side walk. I was impressed with her agility. Almost like a cat's. "Sorry sir!" she says, looking sadly at the macaroons. "the macaroons!"

"they still look edible," I say, and take one from the box. "Delicious!!!" 

"thank you sir, but I'm late for school. I've got to go!" Mari exclaimed. And she was off!

Almost like a cat, I thought as I walked into the Dupain-Cheng bakery with a little octagonal box for her.

Adrien's POV

Adrien ran. He ran faster than he ever thought he could go. Anything for his freedom.  He ran up Collège Françoise Dupont's steps and then the opening for the door. Freedom was one step away.

"Adrien!" It was Natalie, Adrien's protective assistant. He totally forgot about her. 

He turned around. "You know this isn't what your father wants!"

"Has he ever thought about what I wanted?" Adrien shoots back.

"Adrien," 

that was my cue. I started hobbling down the street with my cane, and then fell and put the cane out of reach. I started crawling toward it slowly when a hand lifted me up. He gave me my cane. 

"Thank you, young man," I say, he smiles and looks back to Natalie, that Gorilla man right behind her. She gives him the best "come here before you and me both get in trouble" look she can and he gets the gist. As he trots away he says, "please don't tell father about this,". a few seconds later the car starts up and drives away.

I think that boy could use a little freedom, I think. Now the Agreste mansion is heavily armored, so I won't be able to put my octagon box there physically. I have an Old Chinese secret that I will use. And no, I won't tell you. I don't trust you THAT much.
