I shook my head at what Lamari was saying.

He was talking about all the girls he had ever dated or messed around with.

I didn't care about his love life, but he wanted to talk about it.

I laughed at the thought of him dating a bunch of girls he didn't like just because he wanted to look good.

He had a reputation for being popular.

We both had lots of friends in high school and played every sport but why go down memory lane.

"Vinnie, look at me, bro.

I know you got a thing for Ceaishia.

You don't have to keep trying to hide it.

I notice every time she walks in the room you get all quiet and shy like you're scared to speak. "Lamari said.

Wait when did he start talking about me? Why is he talking about me?

"Boy mind Ya business". I said, thinking it was the end of that.

"Nah man, you and Ceaishia been my homies for how long? She may not have noticed how strange you act when she's around, but she's not the Ace in this relationship ya feel me?"

Hell, nah this man is sounding fruity right now. "So, are you saying you know me better then I know myself?" the car suddenly slowed down as he swerved into the club parking lot. "Yep", Said Lamari.

I wasn't in line long when I recognized Kelani's car pulling up. I rushed to the door to open it for Ceaishia. Gauuuudamn she looks mmm let me stop.

I wrapped my arms around her squeezing her into a friendly hug. It was just the right amount of sugar in my cup of tea.

We went together perfectly. I doubt she felt the same.

She pulled away from me just as I pulled away from her.

I turned away and took my place in line.

I let Kelani and Ceaishia cut ahead of me.

We entered the club going to the first empty booth which was stupid cause we didn't come here to eat we came here to dance.

Asia, Briane, Tobias, and Verrica made their way to the dance floor.

Kelani, Ceaishia, and I waited at the table for a while talking about some guy, she seen whom she danced with last week.

I wasn't being nosey or nothing, but Kelani's stories always be juicy. Briane and Verrica were already drunk.

They were drinking at the crib before they came.

Asia usually was nowhere to be found.

She loves to dance, and she got a juicy body.

Suddenly I remembered why I came.

Ceaishia had been on my mind for days. It wasn't a secret.

My cousin was right I am shy around her.

I know she doesn't notice me, but we've never really talked.

Out of all the days, we've known each other we barely said a word to one another.

I wanted this night to be different. I needed to break out of my shell.

I sat at the table with Cece (aka Ceaishia) and she gave me the dirtiest look.

"So, what's with the new Kevin?" she asked. Causing me to look at her like I'd never seen her before.

I was confused. "That little hug session we just had outside was new to me".
