"Tag, you're in, Schneeps. Nose bleed. Be careful." Jack shouted, his head poking into the living room where Chase and Schneeplestein sat on the couch watching sappy tv medical dramas. Schneeplestein loved to criticize the techniques the doctors would use, making sure Chase knew how much better he would've done. Nausea swirled through Chase's head as he tried to rule out what Anti was planning. The pair jumped to their feet, ready and nervous. Chase gave Schneeplestein a reassuring shoulder pat, telling him to be safe before sending him off to Jack's recording room.

The five of them had a system. They called it the "Throw-off Anti Protocol". Jack would always start a video and if Anti threatened to disrupt things he'd pause the recording session and tag one of the other egos in. The first time he tried it with Dr. Schneeplestein it worked amazingly. He was playing Bio Inc Redemption, a game that suited his strengths as a doctor perfectly. The community seemed to love it. Today was Schneeplestein's day to be 'on call' again.

Chase waited until he could hear Schneeplestein's voice echoing faintly from the recording room before running into the kitchen to aid Jack. He leaned over the sink, blood dripping onto the dulled metal. One would've thought he knew how to take care of his own bloody noses better rather than to just let it keep bleeding. The truth was, he didn't. All the way back to October, Chase was helping Schneeplestein stitch up his wounds and deal with his bloody noses. He grumbled softly as he grabbed a cloth from the stove rack and tilted his head back. A moan escaped Jack's lips as he shut his eyes to blot out the pain. Anti had a habit of hitting Jack with awful migranes whenever he came back. It made Chase feel for him even more. There wasn't anything any of them could do to stop it though.

The cloth soaked quickly, leaving little clean space for Chase's hands to hold pressure. He rubbed Jack's back reassuringly with his free hand. He could tell he was terrified and exhausted.  They all were. Anti worked quickly and effectively. They'd all been watching the fandom amp up Anti's strength all week and it was sapping Jack's strength the most. Chase knew he was second strongest next to Anti. The community trusted him and loved him. If it weren't for them, he probably wouldn't be here.

It took a while but eventually Jack's face was free of blood and he was sat on the couch. Beside him, Chase erratically flipped through channels on the tv. He needed to keep Jack's mind off of Anti. Jack put a hand to his shoulder, realizing what he was trying to do. Chase refused to let his friend give in so quickly. "Anti will have to go through all of us before he can even think about touching you." He said confidently.

Jack looked unsettled, his worried eyes found Chase's hopeful ones. He swallowed hard. "That's what I'm afraid of."

"He's not as strong as he thinks he is. I can keep him down."

Jack opened his mouth to respond when something shattered in the hallway, followed by a soft apology. Chase and Jack looked at each other knowingly. Jackaboy Man was always rather clumsy.

"Chase, Hurry! It's the Doc. He's in trouble." Jackaboy Man bolted into the room. Beads of sweat poured down his face, his mask askew. He was breathing raggedly as if he had just run a marathon. A swear escaped both men's lips as they rushed to their feet. Jackaboy Man was the first to object to Jack's action, putting a hand to his chest. "No. Anti knows how to get you easiest. Let Chase and I go. It's my duty to protect you all from whatever he has planned."

"I can't risk you guys getting hurt. What about your kids, Chase? What happens to them if Anti gets in your head?" Jack protests, trying to convince Chase directly. Chase refused to let his own fears stop him. The others would look after Sam and Grayson for him if something happened. His eyes shift to Jackaboy Man who nods curtly before turning his head away from the other two men.
