I ran up behind Jason who was the first to notice the ancient pillars which marked the begining of Galeg , the ancient castle.

The two pillars were old and we're covered in creepers and ivy. The stairs made of stone were unstable , rocky and covered in mud. The trees were preventing the moonlight from penetrating which made the night all the more dark and frightening.

"Look it's an archway !" Silvia said pointing to the broken arch which we all had failed to notice in the darkness. I must say , her eyes are pretty sharp.

"So that means we're at the entrance of the long hall which lead to the first court of Mishpat." Christopher said examining the right pillar to check of with of them held the prophecy.

"Remember what Gilbert said ? He said stories speak of the prophecy in the throne room." Dan said recalling the Gilbert's little piece of information.

"The throne room , where could it be ?"  Silvia asked , wandering a little ahead of us.

"Considering, the fact that it was an old palace , it's architectural design would be according to the one in Armageddon." Christopher said his hands softly brushing on the pillar.

"You mean to say it's somewhere in the middle of this whole ruined palace ?" John asked looking up at his brother.

"It be put bluntly,  yes." Chris said nodding his head as he lead the way.

"I think it's best if we scatter." Jenifer said from the shadows , her grey eyes illuminating in the darkness.

"No. It's dark and we won't know when the Nerezza might attack us again. We should stick together." Jason reasoned taking a sticking and lighting it with the burning staff which Dan was holding.

Jason looked at me and gave a soft smile of reassurance which I returned almost immediately. He walked ahead of us leading the way with his burning stick while the rest of us followed his footsteps.

"Why was this castle left in ruins ?" I asked out loud out of sheer curiosity. "I mean if I were to own a castle and migrate to another area , I wouldn't leave it in ruins."

"You don't understand Esther. This palace is cursed ." John replied inspecting every coloumn in his path.

"Cursed ?" I echoed questioning his statement.

"Yes. It is believed that once is palace is cursed , it will remain cursed forever leading it to be ruined on its own." John said.

"But how ?" I asked taking a good look at my surroundings. The palace even in ruins looks every elegant and beautiful in its own way. Many old pillars with elaborately carved depictions of everyday life was half destroyed.

"Once the Baadals , entered Aramanda , it was tainted by Baadal's dark powers and magic. It is said that there still a few of those who perform sorcery still alive." Christopher spoke out , his head looking up at sky and his eyes reflecting the stars.

"How come ?" I asked , walking beside him.

"Because we can't stop them. They work with your mind." John replied curtly.

"Look !" Jason exclaimed pointing to the two pillars , tracing a few small , faded cracks on the old pillar.

"There's something inscribed on it if you look carefully." , he said looking at us in excitement.

"It's the language of the Kings." Silvia said recognising the faded inscriptions to the ones on the old portraits of the Queens.

"Chris can you read it ?" John asked taking a closer look. Chris shook his head in disappointment.

"I can." Jenifer said as she walked towards us. She stood on her toes to read the first line on the pillar on the left which was written  about an inch higher than her.

"For those who search the prophecy for gain ,
Be warned !
And those search for it for saving our citizens,
Beware of the trouble you seek !
For one is always a traitor ." Jenifer read her last word a whisper just enough for all of us to hear.

"A traitor ?  Is that another prophecy ?" Silvia asked facing Jenifer, who said nothing. She remained deep in thought.

"We can't waste time ! Let's go !" Christopher said leading the way , walking up ahead.

                              *  *  *
"Look is that an elevated step for a throne ?" I asked pointing to the step right before me. It had been a couple of hours since we had been looking for the prophecy pillar.

It seemed to be nowhere in sight , and for once I seemed lost. But the sight of the elevated step did arise hope within me of a possibility that perhaps I might the prophecy after all.

Christopher walked upto the step close examining it's shape and structure. He touched it's base to check it's rigidity and was surprised to see it still fixed and unmoving.

"I can't be sure but this step , is hard to move. There is a great possibility that this could be the elevated step of Queen Isabella's throne which means the pillar is nearby." , said Christopher wiping hus hands on his trousers. He traced the shape of the step before getting up and sighing.

It had been quiet a while since we had been searching for the pillar avd if I should be honest , all of us were equally tired. Our muscles were sore and pleaded us to stop walling but unfortunately we didn't pay heed considering the fact that we were so close to finding the prophecy.

"Should we presume that this room is the throne room ?" , Silvia presumed taking a seat on the tree stumped while softly pressing her calf muscles which I didn't object to for I was longing to do the same.

"Well , it is our only hope ....." , reasoned Jason smugly before looking at me for an opinion to which I just shrugged knowing very well that even though I was genuinely interested in history , I was horrible at remembering important facts.

"I agree with Chris. So far as we have seen this vast ruin , the only place that seems to fit the fiction discriptions of the castle is this room." , John sighed as he rubbed her hands together to warm them up.

"Is that sn engraving on a pillar ?"
