Chapter 5: Villain problems

Lila's POV

I haven't been at school since I got akumatized. I heard that a girl named Marinette crashed during class. I feel bad. Ladybug and Chat Noir have been saving Paris like normal, geez do I hate her. If Ladybug hadn't told everyone that I was lying, I would be popular, have friends, and have a boyfriend! All that I never had at my old school. At my old school, I was the class clown, and the nerd. The one with no friends. So I moved, all the way across countries to Paris. To start new. But when I think I'll get a good life, BAM! Ladybug shows up and gets everyone to hate me and think of me as The Liar.

Today I walked out of the store to hear whispers about me.

"Hey isn't that Volpina? The superhero?"

"Nah. She was akumatized. She's the fake."

"Oh. Right. The Liar."

"I hate liars."

"I wonder if she has any friends."

"Probably not. Who would want to be friends with a liar anyway?"

I started to feel one emotion: Anger. How could Ladybug show everyone I was lying! and most importantly, why did I let Hawkmoth make a fool of me! If I lied, everyone would probably forget after a month, but now because of me being "The Fastest Akumatized victim" Everyone stays away from me and talks about me behind my back.

Suddenly, I saw a purple butterfly come near me. Not again. I started running, but I wasn't fast enough. I was in front of the bakery when everything went black.

Hawkmoth's POV

"Hello Lila." I grinned. This one should be easy.

"What do you want Hawkmoth?" Or maybe not.

"You know what I want. How about you become Volpina again, and if you get the miraculous of Ladybug and Chat Noir, I'll make everyone forget about your lying spree." Yes I was lying, but one lie couldn't hurt right?

"I don't believe you."

"Will or won't. Doesn't matter." I started choking her through my control over the Akuma.

"You will obey to me."

"N-*gasp*NO!"

"Quiet Lila. You're making a scene."

"I DON'T CARE!"

Marinette's POV 

I woke up to screaming.

"I DON'T CARE!"

I looked out the window and saw Lila holding her head, looking like she was in pain. I hesitated.

"Come on Marinette! She needs your help!"

"B-but she lied Tikki!" I argued.

"So?! She's fighting an akuma! you're Ladybug for a reason! Help her out!"

Without further ado, I opened my window to my balcony, then snuck down right next to her.

"Hey are you alright?"

"MAKE IT STOP!"

"Stop what?"

"HAWKMOTH PLEASE!"

Right then I knew that I had to be Ladybug, but everyone was starting to gather.

"Hey whose that?"

"Lila. Probably faking it."

"Yeah. She'd lied once. Why not do it again?"

These people talking were starting her to get worse. Did I actually do this?
