Chapter 13: French Bread

3rd person POV

The superheroes quickly traveled to the Agreste manor, jumping over the gate and breaking down the door going in the home. They first noticed the subtle destruction of the manor. Books and papers were thrown everywhere, and the different furniture was destroyed, wood and the stuffing was spread out everywhere. It also didn't help with the silence that they endured.

Ladybug turned towards her team and took a deep breath, inhaling and exhaling oxygen and carbon dioxide. "Alright guys. We'll split up. Al-Rena Rouge and Jade Turtle will go to the bedrooms, Bee will go to the lobby and Chat and I will check the kitchen."

Chat looked at Ladybug strangely, knowing how she almost gave away Alya's secret away, but dismissed it and started following her. After a few minutes, Chat became bored. Super bored.

"Hey Bugaboo?"

"Yes?"

"Where are we going?" He made his voice sound like the song from Dora.

Ladybug, confused and horrified at what he was saying replied. "Well we're going to-"

"KITCHEN!"

"CHAT WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT INTERRUPTING ME?!" She quickly moved her hand and tried to smack Chat, only for him to dodge and run towards the door leading to the kitchen, only to run straight into a wall and fall backwards, groaning in pain.

Ladybug laughed. "Karma hurts doesn't it?"

Chat said something uncomprehensive, and ladybug thought she heard the lines of 'blood. blood everywhere'. So shrugging it off, she walked over to the door and pulled on the handle, only for the door not to move. Looking confused, she tried it again, a little harder, for the door to stay the same. Getting frustrated, she then started pulling on the handle as hard as she could, feet on either side of her hands, grunting in desperation. Chat was looking at her off to the side, and chuckled.

Walking forward, he decided to speak up. "Here let me help you."

Ladybug just glared. "I don't need your help."

"By the looks of it you do." Without another word, he walked towards the door and pushed it lightly, having the Ladybug and door moving in. Ladybug stopped what she was doing, and fell to the floor. Once she landed she grunted in pain, but Chat didn't look phased.

Ladybug stood up and looked at the door. "Oh." She quietly said, then her embarrassment went to rage. "WHY DO THEY HAVE A HANDLE ON A PUSH DOOR?!"

Chat just shrugged his shoulders and started looking inside the fridge. For what? We may never know. Ladybug, noticing his desperation, put her hands on her hips sassily. "And what do you think you're trying to do?"

Chat ignored her, and started muttering to himself, throwing out different objects and food. Ladybug had to dodge a pickle jar flying towards her face. A few a minutes Chat got out of the fridge, holding what looked a bag. "AHA!"

Ladybug face plamed when she noticed what he was holding... a loaf of French bread. "Chat..."

Ladybug didn't say anything else when a scream erupted throughout the house. It was a very familiar scream. A scream belonging to a blonde headed friend of theirs. Ladybug paid no attention to Chat and ran out the door into the lobby, where Rena Rouge and Jade Turtle was already there. Jade turtle wore a jester hat with bells on the ends that jingled whenever he walked.

Ladybug just looked at him then shook her head mumbling incoherent things to herself.  

Rena was the first one to speak. "What happened?"

"It seems as if Volpina and Hawkmoth have Queen B." Ladybug said.

"Wow. Why would they do something like that dudette?" Jade said.

Footsteps came closer and all three turned towards the kitchen to see Chat Noir running through with a Dora backpack, a baguette hanging out of his backpack. If someone was to look at Ladybug at that one moment, they would know one emotion: disappointment.

"Really Chat? Again with the Dora stuff?"

"What? I never had a childhood, and I just found out about this amazing show!"

I heard Jade whisper to Rena. "At least it's not Teletubbies."

Chat turned towards them with starts in his eyes. "What's that?!"

Ladybug grabbed the backpack and threw it across the room. "Nothing you need to know about. You're insufferable."

Chat then decided it was a purrfect time to flirt. "Don't be a sour cat m'lady."

Ladybug glared and didn't say anything. Chat still was on one. "Come on you know you love me."

Ladybug sighed. "Yeah. I know."

They then heard a gasp and they turned towards Rena Rouge who had stars in her eyes. "YOU TWO ARE TOGETHER?"

Both Chat and Ladybug froze. "uhhh-"

"I KNEW IT!" Rena quickly pulled out a phone that was similar to Alya's just the cover was orange and white. Hurriedly changing it to camera she was trying to use it, only for the spandex covered fingers to get in the way.

"come on. come on. come on. Zoom in!"

Ladybug just sighed. "Alright Rena. You can get how many pictures you want, but we need to first find Bee. Chat scan the area."

"Right away Purrincess." Ladybug just face palmed.

It didn't take long for the four to find a trail of blood. How they didn't notice at the beginning, no one knows. But following the blood they did until they reached the painting of Mrs. Agreste.
