Chapter 6: Help

CHAT/ADRIEN'S POV

I've been following this Volpina for awhile now. Swiping at others that cross my path to make sure that their hallucinations. Never can be too careful. I saw the Volpina turn a corner.

Ha! finally have her now. I thought.

But when I turned the corner, the Volpina ran into a wall and disappeared.

"DARN IT!"

I stomped my foot. and I really thought this was the original. I sat down to take a break and look out onto Paris. My thought going to My Lady before I left.

She looked so scared when Marinette's mother showed up. Does Ladybug know her from somewhere?

I shook the thought out of my head. No. Everyone knows them. Their the best bakery in Paris. Everyone knows who the Dupen Changs are.

But still... doubts clouded my mind. I know that Ladybug was with the crowd during Lila's out break, so was I. So do I actually know My Lady in real life?

I was in so deep in thought that I didn't notice that I detransformed until Plagg started talking.

"Geez kid. You look horrible."

"Just thinking."

"About what?"

"Ladybug."

"As usual?"

"No. This time I can't keep it out of my head that I actually know who she is."

"Well duh. You're partners with her of course you know who she is."

"No. Behind the mask Plagg. I feel like I know her in my life as Adrien." I turned my head to face him. This has been the longest he hasn't asked for cheese yet. Huh. That's new.

Plagg looked scared, then turned past my head and bowed his head, as if someone important was behind me.

I heard footsteps behind me.

"And you do know who Ladybug is behind the mask Adrien. Or should I say Chat Noir?"

I looked behind me and saw the old man I helped with his cane on my first day of public school, the day I became Chat Noir. Suddenly everything clicked. Old man, me helping him, he saying thank you, I see box in my bag, I become superhero.

I gasped. "It was you!"

He softly chuckled. "Yes it was."

I stared at him then bombarded him with questions.

"Who are you? What's your name? How did you know about the miraculous'? Is there anymore? Do you have a miraculous? Do you know who Ladybug is? How old are you? Is there more Kwamis? Wi-" I got cut off by him.

"Patience young one. You'll find out more soon. I'll take you to my place, then I'll bring Ladybug back. I suggest you transform before she shows up though."

"O-okay." And with that, he took me to an apartment then left to get Ladybug.

Ladybug's POV

I have only been able to corner two Volpinas, both of them being fake. I was starting to get frustrated.

"UGH!"

I heard giggling around me. Five Volpinas surrounded me. "What's the matter Ladybug? Scared you can't take us on?"

All of them said at the same time, taunting me like mockery.

I had enough. "SHUT UP! ALL OF YOU SHUT UP!"

Suddenly a cane moved through them all, and I saw the old man that I helped that one day, and who helped Tikki when she was sick.

I gasped. "I-it's you."

He smiled. "Yes. Now follow me."

I followed him to the small apartment I've been a few times, but haven't had enough time to check it out. He opened the door and led me through it, where it was a disaster, glass broken, curtains on the floor, and in the middle of it all, was a Chat Noir sleeping sleepily.

Short chapter today. I'm sorry. The next chapter will be longer, and in order for it to be longer, and not giving the next chapter away, I have to cut it off here. Hope ya like it!
