Without You

Chapter 15

Colby's Pov

I was preparing dinner while Sam was getting dressed. I was already dressed up for our date and I already bought the food a day before knowing that I'd want to do this, but I didn't know if he wanted to. I was interrupted by a kiss on my cheek and I look over at my stunning boyfriend.

"D-Danm Sam I forgot how you looked in a suit," my words were a mess.

"Same to baby. So what are we having?" He replied smiling.

"It's a surprise," I smiled back.

I lead him to a table, two chairs, and a lit candle. I pulled the chair out and pushed him in. I went to the kitchen and grabbed the rose I bought for him. He's the love of my life and I couldn't ask for anyone better, I thought to myself. I brought the floor in and brought his chin up gently and kissed his lips softly.

"I give to you this rose my kind and lovely boyfriend," I said.

He chuckled and grabbed the floor out of my hand and twirled it around. I kissed him on the forehead and went back to get the food. We sat quietly eating and the silence wasn't awkward like it usually is at dinner. We both finished up and I took care of the plates and got dessert out. I made strawberry shortcakes remembering that we'd eat these all the time. After eating I did the dishes and grabbed Sam's hand.

"Care to dance," I say bowing.

"I'd love too," he said laughing slightly.

I turned on a slow song and we started dancing around our hallway by the entrance. His head was resting on my left shoulder while mine on his right holding his waist. I love him so much I don't know what I would've done if I lost him. I pulled his head up to look at me and I couldn't help but smile at how god damn handsome he was. I wish he knew how much I loved him.
