The Fight For The Forgotten Realm

Imagine dragons

I watched as Kanansu tucked her staff behind her back and snagged one of the huge, wavering vines. Using them as leverage she climbed up to where Ruairi was being strangled. In one swift motion she placed her thumb on his forehead and instantly his eyes snapped open with his hair and hands suddenly ablaze. Avoiding one of the vines Kanansu tilted Ruairi's body so a wild jet of flame like the breath of a dragon spewed from his hands and cut the vines. They fell in a sizzling heap. Kanansu then guided the flames to where Jason was being digested and it exploded in a mess of  a flying plant parts.

Immediately after exploding, the vines loosen grip on my ankles and I fall face planting in the forest mud. I slowly stand up and I notice that the carnivorous plant is rebuilding itself. Kanansu shoots it with another blast of fire before it can fully regrow.
"Wo-" I say before a blob of embryonic slime from the plant flies straight into my mouth. I cough and spit it out.
"Alae! lae! wal! pst! p! p!" I spit. Once I manage to spit out all the slime I ask Kanansu,
"How did you do that?" I ask.
"Do what?" She asks.
"That thing that you did with Ruairi" I reply.

"I simply accessed his dream world and used it to manipulate his physical being" she replies.
"I heard Dream" I say confused. Kanansu sighs and tries to make it to make it sound simpler,
"I went inside his head" she says.
"Wow! Can you do me?" I ask.
"It really takes the head out of me" she gasps.
"Come on please" I beg. She wheezes and touches my forehead with two fingers.

I find my self standing next to Kanansu in a completely white place.
"So is this my head" I say.
"Technically it's your dream world" she replies.
"I honestly thought that it would look cooler" I say.
"That's because you're not thinking about anything. Think of something cool!" She says enthusiastically. I imagine dragons. Suddenly dragons swoop past me and Kanansu roaring and breathing fire. Kanansu brings us back to the real world.

"That was awesome, where did you learn that?" I ask. She stares out into the distance flashing back.
"Uh-uh that's enough for now" she says. I know she's hiding something but for now, we're allies. The two of us look down at Ruairi and Jason laying down on the ground. They're both still unconscious.
"I'll carry Ruairi" says Kanansu, "you carry Jason".
"In case you haven't noticed, I'm a hobbit" I say.
"And I'm blind" replies Kanansu. *Awkward silence*
"I'm not strong enough to carry Jason" I say.
"Then drag him" she replies. There's no way I'm going to drag him so I slap him hard across the face and he wakes up.
"That works too" she says.

"We have to keep moving!" Kanansu informs me and Jason. We walk through the forest with Ruairi being dragged behind us by Kanansu. Then we all suddenly stop in our tracks absolutely terrified. Kanansu just manages to say,
"We just fought giant flytraps!"
"And now we have to get past giant bugs!" I finish her sentence. In front of us is a giant spider, a giant fly, a giant mosquito, just tons of giant bugs. Ruairi yawns and wakes up. He screams once he sees the giant bugs. All the bugs turn their attention to us. They're coming!
