Not to be preach-y, but this is true, and I feel like this sometimes. On this account it's watching my follower count rise and fall, my reads stay the same...but on my new writer account -professor it's watching the follow count rise by one every two days, or drpo by two. the reads staying the same. getting nowhere. but don't cease and desist! persist™
