Chapter 2

Elsa

"Flynn it's easy to start the engine"I argue. I turn the key of the car and finally the engine begins. "Now let me dress for the Gala tonight. Do you mind babysitting Winter?"

"Sure Elsa. "Flynn replies.

I walk upstairs towards my room with my towel still wrapped around my body. I scroll through my phone as I walk towards the room. "Elsa". I stop and turn but see no one.

As I enter my room I receive a strong scent of cologne enter my nose and lungs. I cough out the scent only to see Jack already dress in his black tux. "Elsa you still not dressed. "I was busy helping Flynn with the car again."

He gives me a strange look but brushes it off. I grab my clothes from my side of the closet.

I slip on my  nude colour coat over my two piece jumpsuit. My boots match my coat and I quickly curl my waist long hair. Applying some light make up, I grab my diamond clutch bag and walk towards Winter room. She rests peacefully on her bed. 

Jack stands by the car ready for me. "Looking beautiful tonight snowflake"

"I do love modern clothing"

"So do I Els."

I give him a playful glare and take the passenger seat. The ride is silent as we drive off to Tooth palace. As technology evolved so has the guardian's but not much. The golden gates open allowing our car through. The chauffeur stands by the bottom of the stairs opening the doors of the passing cars.

"Why weren't the others invited?"I ask as Jack leans back into the driver seat. "I have no idea. He just told me that it is important for you to attend. "Oh". We pull beside the stairs. The chauffeur opens my door and lends me his hand. I take it and wait for Jack to lead me inside. I rarely accompany Jack to Tooth palace since Winter was born.

He links my arm and I walk beside him. Inside the place is lively. Tooth face is seen clear as her dress is cover with feathers. She used her magic to make her dress . Although her hair ends are colourful like her dress. "Elsa you came. "Apparently it's important that I attend. Why?" North will announce later. " I furrow my brows. I'm dumbfounded to what she means. Although Jack seems to know what is going on.

"I will get you something to drink". Jack walks off leaving me alone with Tooth. "What is this Gala for?" Some thing. "Where are the rest of the guardians Tooth?" Bunnymud is somewhere between the crowd. "Who are all of these people?'' I ask. "Mostly of the other guardians and some of lost family. "

"I-" A man suddenly drags me into a dance. His arm wraps firmly around my waist and grips onto my hand.  I follow with into the dance and look back to see his features. His emerald green eyes look straight into mine. His jet black hair ruffles lightly with a few bangs in his face. "Who are you?" Edan".

His has similar height to Jack. "You must be Elsa. Jack girlfriend?" I look at him strangely. "How do you know this information?" I have spoken to North. I'm his helper as I may put it. "

I try to release myself from his grip but it's useless since his strength is stronger than mine. "I also hear you have a daughter. Winter I think". My eyes shift away from his as I frantically search for Jack. "Why has he not married you if you have a child". A hand grips firmly onto Edan shoulder. "Jack"A sigh of relief leaves my lips.

"I think I may dance with my own girlfriend. "By all means". Edan plants a kiss on my knuckles and leaves. Making Jack even angrier. Jack grips onto my waist harder and holds my wrist painfully. "Jack stop". I pull apart from him and his aggressive behaviour.

I walk out towards the garden side. "Elsa wait". I glare at him with full aggigitation. "Look I'm sorry. Just-" Just nothing. There is a reason I do not like these Galas."

"Elsa! Come!" Tooth screeches and drags me by the wrist. Through the crowd she shoves past the guests with me tailing behind her by my wrist. North stands by the top of the opposite staircase near to the entrance. His suit sitting neatly on him. "Tonight is a special night. For the man in the moon has announced one who can defeat darkness and bring light. "

I look around as the crowd cheers for the news. "He has chosen Cupid". I feel slight weight on my shoulders. An arm rests over me. My eyes does not even want to meet Jack at the moment but I leave his arm to rest. "The Cupid is non other than Elsa Arendelle".

I gape from the announcement. I look up to face Jack but merely I mistake the arm for another. Edan. His smile is broad as he claps for me. Simply by me being stupid I'm blinded by my own anger to not even look if it is Jack. By the amount of shock I freeze. From beneath my feet I feel coldness. The floor is frosting.

"Elsa!Elsa!" Tooth snaps me from my shock and leads me to North who stands and claps as well. Beside him stands an elf with a heart shape crown with a small pair of carved wings. I bend while he places it on my head. The crown fits with my powers. From the crowd I see Jack looking angry and yet happy for me. The cheering soon dies down and I walk towards the crowd.

"Hey...um North I'm going home. Its late and Winter is probably wondering how much longer I will be staying out. "You may leave Elsa. " I give a slight nod and walk towards the doors. The chauffeur arrives with the car already parked and the keys in his hand. "Thank you". I grab the keys and drive off. Not caring for Jack rude demounour.

As I drive further the steering wheel fills with frost. Meaning my powers aren't stable at the moment. I arrive at my home and quickly head inside. "He-" Anna stops midway with her greeting. Probably noticing I'm not really in a good mood. I stomp upstairs and march to the bedroom. My pyjamas lay one side as I undress and remove my make up.

I slip into my clothes and quickly check on Winter. Still asleep on the bed I gently step closer to her and plant a kiss on her forehead.
