Chapter 18

Elsa

The fire crackles as the smoke travels towards the sky. My wings start to relax and so does my muscles. A relaxing sensation travelling through my spine due to wings being mended into my backbone. I pull the bow and arrows off my back. Decorating the bow with frost while inserting ice into the arrows. My daggers safely tucked under my top. The tips covered so that it does not stab me. The sharpen my daggers one by one and place them back under my top.

"Elsa"I turn around to face Rupunzel. Her eyes burning into mine. Clearly something is bothering her. "What is it Rupunzel?" She seats herself beside on the log as I tie my hair with a ripped piece of material. She uses Flynn coat to cover her body. I shrug since the cold never bothered me anyway.

"I'm concerned about the baby and I"She says with a worried tone. "Why do you say that?" My body has not been able to rest properly and Flynn has been acting strange lately"What do you mean by strange?" I arch a brow at her. From my point they seemed stress but still able to love each other.

"He was happy when finding out that he will be a father but when he came from patrol the night after...he seemed off...as if another side of him has escaped. I sensed a dark energy since my purity is strong but his is..."She trails off. "Different"I finish. I furrow my brows and reconsider his behaviour. Strange enough I remember that he has been acting strange. Determined to find the flower. Desperate as I might say.

Immediately an thought pop's into my head. "Rupunzel I want you to look at Flynn eyes and fingertips. Tell me what you see when you return"Okay"she simply answer and walks away. A crunching sound coming from beneath her feet while she steps on the leaves. I pull an arrow between my fingers. Jack returns panting with an injured Hiccup and Merida. "The sand horses attacked. Kristoff and Anna are coming in a moment". My eyes immediately widen.

I turn away from the three and run. "Rupunzel!" I force my wings to take flight. I frantically search for Rupunzel. My eyes catch her. My fingers pull back with the arrow and I shoot. Sending the arrow straight into Pitch chest. I use my ice to raise and wall between Rupunzel and him.

"Elsa why-"

"That's not Flynn. It's Pitch".

She looks back and gasps when seeing his yellow eyes and broad smile. I glare at him. "You've taken Flynn!" Rupunzel screeches. Anna comes rushing behind me. Setting her hands on fire. I hold her back as I step forward. Placing another arrow between my fingers. I draw back slightly.

Pitch laugh echoes. He soon disappears and leaves Rupunzel in tears. Anna bends down and rubs her back. "Why did he take Flynn?" Anna asks while looking at me.

"So he could get to Rupunzel. Now it makes sense why he poisened Winter"I pinch my nose and shake my head. Kristoff and Jack following afterwards. "Why?" Anna still looks at me while Rupunzel cries. "With the Guardians around us he couldn't battle alone. Making Winter sick he knew the Guardians would stay. Leaving us in search for the cure"

"That means he didn't give Winter back for you to endure her death but to distract us and remove Rupunzel pure magic and Flynn is the closest to get to her" Anna realizes but then frowns. "Why did he not kill me then?" Rupunzel asks with a sniffle. "He needed to know where the flowers were...so that wasn't Flynn who returned from patrol. "Kristoff answers. Quickly catching up with the conversation. Merida and Hiccup limp towards us. We quickly fill them in.

"Wait Elsa...you said together with the Guardians we stronger. Correct?" Merida asks with her deep scottish accent. We nod in agreement. "Doesn't that mean he will go for the Guardians now that we not all together"All our eyes widen. Jack pulls out the globe communicater but he receives nothing. The globe turns on but it's not North or any of the Guardians.

"Fools. You really thought that I would cave in so easily? Now that I've studied the map and know the location you won't be able to stop me. "Pitch pulls someone into view with the globe communicater. "Tooth!" Jack screams. His eyes start to brim with tears. Tooth wings are broken and tears stain her cheeks. Pitch stands behind her and cups her chin. "I always loved the fact that you stored memories. Store this one for me Jack".

Tooth eyes widen when Pitch black dagger stabs through her stomach. "No!" Jack screams into the globe. Tears start to spill from her eyes. Pitch starts to view the rest of the Guardians. Sandy,North and Bunnymud all frozen. Knowing Jack only sister like sibling was Tooth after he became the Winter spirit. "Now Elsa my dear. You the solution to this problem. You making it worse"

I grind my teeth when he shifts the blame. He views himself and a sleeping Winter. "Now my offer still stands. I will give Flynn and Winter unharmed unless you agree to my deal. If not there are more consequences to suffer"

I glare harshly at him. "Never!" Then so be it"he clicks his fingers and the communicater switches off. Shadows start to rise and walk closer towards us. One figure looking more human like. The horses start to stride out of the trees. We all pull out our weapons. Hiccup whistles and Toothless stands with us. The shadow horses backing off a little when coming into sight with Toothless. Hiccup lights his sword. Kristoff pulling out his daggers and Anna holding balls of fire.

The human like figure hands rise and slowly claps. He steps into the light while smirking

"Hello my dear"

"Hans"
