The rest of the day went by smoothly, everything was going great, until last period. Anatomy.

I entered the room with Uriah and Peter and Molly began whispering to each other and looking at us.

"Ignore them." Uriah said sitting down at a lab table, "They always make fun of Lynn."

"Why?" I asked sitting across from him.

"Because last year-"

Uriah was then cut off by a guy sitting next to him, "Seriously? Why is she here."

"Shut up Drew," Uriah rolled his eyes.

Then a girl walked in and sat next to me, "Hi. I'm Susan," she said.

"Tris," I said smiling at her.

"Alright class, we have a new student." Said the teacher, "Beatrice Prior?"

I heard people chuckling and whispering, "Just Tris." I said lowering my head so nobody can see my red face.

"Welcome Tris. You can sit there for today, tommarow we will be getting our assigned seats."

The whole class groaned, then we began taking notes.

Once the bell rang, Uriah slid me his number on a piece a paper, "Text me later." He said then I stopped him, "Wait. Are you taking the bus?" I asked.

"No, my brother Zeke drives. Do you know which bus to get on?" He asked looking at my schedule.

"No. It says bus 8 but..."

"I'm on bus 8," said Susan, "Do you want me to walk you to the bus?" She asked.

"Um...yeah can you?" I asked.

She nodded and smiled then we all walked out of the classroom.

I was then shoved against lockers, "Move it." Probably Peter or Molly.

I caught myself from falling then walked to my locker, Caleb was already there.

"Hey," I said as I put in my combination. No response. "Caleb?" I asked.

Caleb still didn't look up, he then mumbled, "I called dad, he said he can't pick us up."

"Yeah, mom said we have to take the bus after school...are you okay? This really sweet girl said she can show us."

"I'm walking," Caleb then grabbed his backpack, shut his locker and walked off.

What was wrong with him? I then grabbed my backpack and went to meet up with Susan. "Hey," I said when I saw her. She was with a boy.

"Hello. This is my brother Robert." She said smiling we then began walking towards a bus. "Your brothers in my AP Biology class. He seemed upset." Robert said sitting down across from me and Susan.

"Yeah, did something happen?" I asked.

"Well maybe 6th period, I don't see him until 7th period. Oh wait yes in gym class, something did happen."

"What?" I asked.

"I don't know when I got to the locker room our teacher was yelling at a group of boys and your brother didn't come until the last 10 minutes." Robert said, "Ask him when you get home."

"Where is he?" Susan asked.

"He said he's walking home," I said.

Then my bus stop came and Susan and Robert also got up, "This is your stop?" Asked Susan.

I nodded, "I don't take the morning bus."

We all got off together, it turns out that Susan and Robert live down the street. We waved goodbye to each other and I found Caleb sitting on the doorstep his head in his hands.

"Caleb. What happened?" I asked sitting next to him.

"I wanna go back." He said rubbing his eyes, "I hate it here."

"Will you please just tell me what happened?"

Caleb looks at me, his eyes were red and puffy. "I have gym class with a boy named Drew. He asked me why I look so stiff and I didn't say anything then in the locker room him and some guys started throwing my stuff around. Then..." Caleb turned away and cleared his throat, "Then they threw my text book in the toilet." Caleb rubbed his temple, "They wouldn't stop calling me 'Stiff' and I don't know why I didn't say anything."

"You just didn't wanna stoop down to there level." I said comforting him.

"No Beatrice. I did. I punched Drew 3 times in the jaw then kicked and hit his friends until they were each on the floor. I got sent to the principals office and..." he showed me a crumpled up piece of paper, "I'm suspended for a week."

I stared at him shocked, "What? What about them?" I asked.

"2 week detention for bullying and destroying someone else's stuff. Mom and dad are gonna kill me." He said.

"Caleb..."

"They probably won't stop after this." He said, "So what I did was utterly pointless"

"No Caleb. They will stop. I'll make sure of it," I said getting up and opening the door with my house key, "Are you coming?" I asked.
