I close the door behind me and put the filly on the wood floor.
"Welcome to my place," I welcome. "Its not much but it keeps me alive."
I watch her sniff around like a little pup for a few minutes. It finally comes up to me and whimpers. I lead her to the kitchen and hand her a carrot. She examines it before taking the carrot and eating it slowly. I set a bowl of water beside her and give a yawn.
"After you finish eating, I'm going to bed," I tell the pony. "Feel free to sleep wherever you want."
The yellow mare looks up at me, nods, and continues eating. It finishes quickly and follows me to my room. I crawl under the covers and lay my head on the pillow. The young pony stretches her wings and... wings... She has wings?
I sit up and look at her closely. Two tiny feather wings fold themselves onto the mare's back.
"So you're a Pegasus, huh?" I ask. "I guess I'll have to teach you to fly soon."
The mare yawns and curls up beside me. She closes her eyes and sleep conquers her. I felt a smile mold itself onto my face as I fall asleep.
