"Luke, it was a joke! Has she ever heard of one? Or can she take one?" Jess didn't see the severity of the situation and how much pain he caused you, his younger sister, with his so called joke. Luke saw it, though. This time, he wasn't letting him off the hook.
"She's sitting on her bed, bawling her eyes out! You're apologizing whether you like it or not. Oh yeah, and your books? They're going in the trash." With that, he got Jess to stand up and follow closely behind him, protesting.
