Who's he?

"Newt?" Teresa asked in complete shock.Didn't Thomas shoot Newt in the head?How is he alive?Hundreds of questions raced through her mind as she waited for an response.

"Teresa?Is that you?" Newt asked confused.He stepped away from her and let her stand up.She looked at Newt to see he looked exactly the same,apart from a small scar in the middle of his forhead.He probably got that when he was shot in the face.He wore a tank top and jeans with trainers and had a small back pack behind him.

Yeah it is" Teresa said as she brushed a bit of sand of her arm. "Thanks for the surprise attack" she said sarcastically as she looked at her water bottle on the floor.

"Sorry about that...I wouldn't of done it if I knew it was you" he said a bit awkwardly.He then picked up Teresa's water bottle and passed it to her. "Whatb are you doing here?" Newt asked.

Teresa stuffed the water bottle into her duffel bag. "That doesn't matter right now.How are you alive?" Teresa asked confused and shocked.A guy then walked up to Newt and Teresa. "Who are you talking to Newt?" The guy asked confused.He had pale white skin and dirty blonde hair.He wore a T-shirt and sweatpants with trainers and had a spear in his hand.

"And who is he?" Teresa asked.

Newt took a deep breath "Ben meet Teresa,the first and only girl in the glade.Teresa meet Ben,one of the Gladers." Newt introduced.

"I don't remember seeing you around" Teresa commented as he shook his hand.

"Probably because I was in the medical bay because of that griver" Ben explained,snarling at the word 'griver' .

Teresas eyes widened as he let go of his hand "Your the dude who attacked Tom!" She said shocked.

Ben rolled his eyes. "I like to be known as a brave runner,not a temporialy crank" Ben muttered.Newt then put his head down upset.Ben realised what he meant and looked at him sadly "Man you know that I didnt-"

"No it okay,I'm fine" Newt lied as he smiled sadly at Ben.

"That brings me to my secend question" Teresa said "How are you two alive?Newt you where shot by Thomas in the head and Ben you where banished and supposedly killed by the grivers" Teresa then explained.

Newt took a deep breath before explaining "Well Tommy did shoot me,and I did die.But, WICKED brought me back to life and put me through various simulations,and my brain fluids where being tested,being made into a drug,where Ratman said it would heal every ten people.A similar thing happened to Ben,the grivers brought him down to there test facility and he went through the same things but I'll let him tell you what he saw" Newt answered.

"I was stuck in WICKED for a whole year until Newt came and we escaped and the other people who died in the glade because of the grivers where there too.WICKED was making us test subjects but everyone else eventually died.I was able to survive long enough for Newt to come and then we escaped" Ben explained.

"Does that mean Chuck and Alby where there?" Teresa asked.Shed love to here that Chuck was alive,Thomas would be so happy.'Thomas'Teresa thought.'Stop thinking about him,he's distracting you' 

"No" Ben said "Unlike me and Newt,you saw Alby and Chuck die in front of you,so there dead.Forever" he explained.

"Now back to my question." Newt said "What are you doing here?" He asked.

Teresa sighed.She had to tell them."I almost died but WICKED brought me back to life and put me in Paradise.Everyone had a hate for me suddenly and then Sonja,Harriet and Aris went missing.Minho thought I had something to do with it so he put me in the slammer.It turned out that they were murdered and I was given the blame.They where going to kill me so I escaped through a cave and Chancellor Paige was there.She was going to make me go back to WICKED but I escaped.I ran for hours and then you tried to rob me" Teresa explained.She was happy she finally told somebody,it felt like wait off her shoulder.

"We need to go to this paradise,we'll be safe there" Newt said.

"No.WICKEDs out still out there and there's a murder on the loose.And I'm supposed to be dead in an hour" Teresa explained.

"We need to find that murder,see what WICKEDs up too and then get there before it shucking to late" Ben decided.

"Wait a minute" Newt said eyeing Teresa. "How can we trust you?" Newt asked.

Teresa wanted to explode "Not you too.Why does everyone think I'm evil.Am I whereing devil horns or something?" Eresa asked sarcastically.

"Yeah but you where a traitor-"

"YEAH BUT DO YOU KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE BEING GIVEN A CHOICE LIKE THAT?!LET THE ONE WHO YOU LOVE DIE AND EVERYONE SUFFER OR BETRAY THEM ALL AND LET THEM LIVE!I CHOOSE TO BETRAY TOM JUST SO HE WOULDNT DIE!I HAD TO PRETEND I DIDNT LOVE HIM AND WATCH HIM AND EVERYONE HATE ME BUT I STILL LOVED HIM!HE NEVER BELIVED THAT I WAS HIS FRIEND AND I ALMOST DIED TO SAVE HIM AND I RAN OUT OF TIME TO TELL HIM I LOVED HIM AND THEN I GET THROWN INTO OARADISE AND VERYUONE HATES ME INCLUDING HIM.I THEN SEE HIM KISS THAT UGLY ASS BRENDA AND I FELT HEARTBROKEN!DO YOU KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE BEING CRUSHED BY THE ONE YOU LOVED?ITS LIKE BEING TORTURED FOR SO LONG THAT YOU WANT IT TO STOP BUT AFTER THE FINAL STRICK IT STILL HURTS LIKE HELL!SO I RAN AWAY TO FIND A SOLUTION AND HOPE TAHT EVERYONE WILL FORGIVE ME IF I CAN FIX THIS WHOLE MESS THAT I MADE!" Teresa shouted as tears ran down her face.

Newt could tell she was being honest.You could feel the pain and hurt in each word.He walked over to Teresa and hugged her,"Sorry Teresa,I believe you.Let's go find shelter and we can discuss this whole thing" Newt decided.

Teresa nodded and the three began walking towards a near by town. "Hey since you single,do you want to give us a shot?" Ben asked. Teresa pucnched his arm."I'll take that as a no"
