When I came to, I foud a raw burger and French fries sitting on a plate in front of me. I also discovered that I had a splitting migraine. I looked at the burger with need and disire. 3 years since my last one. And I desperately wanted it. But if I had so much as a bite, I would give Derek my submission on a silver platter.
"Eat Angel. You will need your strength." Derek's voice said from behind me.
I turned around and replied "Fine. Bring me a pepperoni pizza, straight tequila, and a satin pillow. Oh make sure that the pizza is extra cheesy. Thanks."
"Cute. Eat the burger. It's your favorite kind too. The same way your dad made it."
" DON'T. TALK. ABOUT. MY. DAD. You don't have the right. "
"Fair enough. Though I counted on the alcohol, and brought this." He handed me a bottle of bourbon.
" Not my favorite, but I will survive. "
"I had hoped that you would have given up on alcohol in the past years. It really isn't good for you. "
"Niether is smoking. You can't talk."
"I quit smoking 2 years, 7 months and 15 days ago." My surprise must have shown beacause he further explained. " You had never liked that I smoked. I thought that it would be a pleasant surprise for you when you returned. Only you never did."
I felt my jaw drop. He had gave up smoking. For me. Snap out of it Angel. He is just toying with you. Trying to get me to come back to the clan.
I took the bottle of bourbon and took a swig. The alcohol burned going down my throat, but I quickly gained energy. A little to quickly. "What did you do to the alcohol?"
"I knew that you would never touch the burger. So I spiked your drink with blood. Whether or not you like it, you will help us wipe out the remaing necromancers."
"No. I won't kill incidents. "
"You have no choice. Get some rest. Tomorrow we find out just how skilled you are." Then he left
