"Just tell her! It's worth a try!" Mitch said to Avi.
Avi wanted to admit his feeling for Kirstie a long time ago. But, as always, he didn't have the courage to do that. Why? He was afraid he'd get rejected. Which will make it awkward between them. And that's the last thing he ever wanted.
"But what if she says no? It'll be awkward between us." Avi said still thinking of the consequences when he admits his feelings for the girl. Well, bad consequences.
"Just ask her like this." Scott said as he tried to demonstrate. "Mitch come here. Pretend you're Kirstie." He called Mitch and the tenor walked to him.
"Watch closely Kaplan. Kirstie?" Scott said
"Yes?"
"I was wondering if you would like to go on a date with me? I mean, it's okay if you say no."
"Yeah! Sure!"
"So, I'll pick you up at 7?"
"Perfect"
"And that's how you do it." Scott said as they finished demonstrating how Avi would ask Kirstie.
Avi was about to speak when Kevin pushed him to Kirstie and whispered "Go get her man!" Cheering him.
Avi felt nervous for whatever she'll say. Will she say No? Or Yes? This was very frustrating for Avi but he had to do this.
He walked to Kirstie who was talking to his sister, Esther. He signaled for Esther to go and when she was gone, he spoke up
"Hi Avi!" Kirstie said happily.
"H-hi" he stuttered and mentally scolded his self.
"Do you need anything?" Kirstie asked Avi as she sat down on the couch. Avi doing the same thing.
"Iwaswonderingifyouwouldliketogoonadatewithme" Avi said holding his breathe getting ready to be rejected.
"I'm sorry. I didn't catch that" Kirstie giggled. "Could you please repeat?"
"I-I was just wondering if-"
Avi was about to say it when he was cut of by the door bursting open. And a tall man with chocolate brown hair and brown eyes. (I'm not sure if this is wj as the Jeremy looks like xD)
"Babe!" He said as the mystery man ran to Kirstie. Babe? What? A vi thought to his self.
"Jeremy! What're you doing here?" Kirstie asked happy to see the man while Avi just looked at him in confusion. Same with the other 3
"Oh! Um. Avi! This is my boyfriend, Jeremy. Jeremy, my friend, Avi." Kirstie introduced them to one another and Jeremy shook Avi's hand.
Boyfriend. Those words that came out of Kirstie's mouth. Avi felt his heart breaking inside of him.
"Nice to meet you Jeremy" he said trying to sound happy.
Mitch walked over to them worried about Avi. "Um. Kit? Who's this?" The tenor said scanning Jeremy up and down. "This is my boyfriend Jeremy. Jeremy this is Mitch"
"Nice to meet you" Jeremy said.
"It's nice to meet you as well. You won't mind If I borrow Avi here for a moment right?" Mitch said holding Avi's wrist.
"Yeah! Sure!"
Mitch dragged Avi back to the others who were wearing a confused expression.
"Avi! What happened." Scott asked worriedly.
