After years of effort. Kirstin finally had her own exhibit of paintings. She was finally getting recognized! Her works were getting recognized by professionals, she now had fans who appreciated her work. And she couldn't be more happy.
But she felt like something was missing. Maybe not something. It felt more like... someone...
Her train of thoughts were stopped when she felt a tap to her shoulder. Turning around, she saw a man who greeted her with a smile. The man did look quite familiar to her. She just couldn't figure our where she had seen him.
"Hi! I'm just curious about something but... have we met before?" The man asked with very curious eyes.
"So I seem familiar to him as well then..."
Kirstie smiled at the man before speaking. "I honestly don't know. You do look familiar to me."
The man pulled out his phone and showed her a picture. "I was just wondering because your painting back there kind of looked like this picture of mine."
She observed the picture from the phine and her painting. They do look alike...
"Do you use references for your paintings?"
"No. I have never used them on all of the paintings here."
That's odd... The proportions of the picture completely matched the painting. Do we have some kind of connection? Kirstie asked herself. No. That's impossible.
"Avi Kaplan." The man suddenly said.
Kirstie gave the man a confused look. "...What?"
"My name is Avi Kaplan."
Oh.
"I'm Ki-"
"I know who you are. That's why I'm here." Oh right... she was known for her works.
Byt the name Avi... It seemed very familiar...
"Don't tell me you've forgotten about me already..." Avi sighed and crossed his arms, shifting his weight to his right leg.
Kirstie remained confused. She looked at the man from head to toe but still... nothing.
"Why do you expect me to remember you? Who are you anyway?" She raised one of her eyebrows, also crossing her arms the way Avi did.
Avi put his phone back in his pocket and smiled. "You're still forgetful? Anyway, I have to go now. I'll visit again sometime"
And just like that, he took off with a smile on his face.
