I woke up, surprised that the sunshine didn't hit my face. I opened my eyes and looked at the window seeing that it finally snowed.
"Snow." I said and smiled. It reminded me so much of her. I heard the door open and saw my daughter running to the bed and jumping on top of me.
"Hey princess." I lifted her up from my body and sat up, setting her down on my lap.
"Daddy! It's snowing! It's snowing! It's SNOWIIIINNNGGGG!!!!!" She said in excitement. She always gets excited for snow. One of her favorite things to do is to play in the snow, build a snowman. Just like her mother.
"Wanna play outside?" I said excitedly and she nodded her head frantically.
"But daaaaddd" she whined. Cute. "Ethan is still asleep." She pouted.
"Well why don't you wake him up. Then we can play. Okay?" I said then she ran as fast as her little feet could out of the room.

I took a shower, ate breakfast, fed the kids and dressed them to play outside.
"Ethan! Skylar! It's time to go!" I shouted through the house. Some seconds later, I already heard them giggling and running. I opened the door and the two children went straight out, still giggling.
I let them play while I just sit here, leaning my back on the tree.
I traced the letters carved on the wood.

KirstinShe was the one who wrote it.
"This. This is our tree." She said while carving something to the tree.
"A reminder of our love."
"A reminder of our love indeed." My hand was still tracing the letters on the tree when I felt, and saw a small hand over mine. They looked exactly like Kirstin's. And the ring. That's our wedding ring.
What?
I looked over to my side and saw. None other than.
"Kirstie?" Tears started to fill my eyes. She cupped my cheeks with both of her hands.
"Shhh... Love, don't cry." She whispered. She still looked the same after all these years. I couldn't hold the tears anymore. I held one of her hand that was cupping my cheek and brought it down for my other hand to hold it also.
"Kirstin. I-I miss you."
"I know love. I miss you too. I wish I can some back." She wiped the tears from my face.
Suddenly, a felt someone throw something on my back. Kirstie looked at who it was and chuckled.
"Dad!" I saw the 3 year old Ethan trying to run on snow. But with his little feet, he looked like he was just walking causing me to chuckle.
Ethan made grabby hands and I happily pulled him to sit beside me.
"Play with us?" He said. He had that puppy dog eyes that you can't say no to.
"Of course! Go wait with sister. Okay?" He nodded and ran, well, walk to where Skylar is.
I looked back to where Kirstie was. But she wasn't there anymore.
I sighed sadly. I wish we could've spent more time together. But I understand.
I know she's happy. And I'll meet here again. In the right time.
