"Hey," a chuckle escapes from Taeyong's lips as he rubs the back of his neck nervously. "long time no see, eh?"

"Life has been... interesting. It's been a long, tough year. My grades have been dropping, again. I know, I know. It's pretty bad. But, hey! I already promised you I would get them back up. I.. just haven't figured out how yet." He sighs, running his hand through his hair.

"Mom and Dad say 'Hello'. So does Mark. Along with all my other friends. They all miss you. We all miss you. I miss you. I miss you... so freaking much. Can't believe it's already been this long." Taeyong stops and bites his lip, preventing him from crying.

"There's never a day where I don't think about you. I still see you in my dreams. Your eyes, your hair, your smile. You." He lets out a smile, grabbing the bouquet of pink roses sitting beside him and setting them in the plastic flower vase next to the grave.

"I love you, jagiya." Taeyong stands up from the ground and lets out a sigh. He feels someone place their hand on his shoulder. He turns his head and sees Mark standing next to him. Taeyong flashes him a weak smile and turns back to stare at the grave.

"It's been one year, huh?" Mark asks, making Taeyong sigh again.

"Yeah, I can't believe it. It's been too long. Too long." Mark turns to look at Taeyong's sad, longing expression on his face staring at the grave. He gently rubs his back, hearing Taeyong sniffle.

"Hyung, I know I've said this a million of times but... I'm sorry." Mark said, looking down at the grave with Taeyong. Taeyong chuckles softly.

"I've said this a million of times but... It's not okay." Taeyong replies, making Mark chuckle as well. Mark stops rubbing his back and takes a few steps back.

"Let's go, hyung. Mom and Dad are waiting for us." Mark says before turning around and walking to the car. (A/N: Yes, I made Taeyong and Mark brothers in this story! The Lee brothers haha xD ) Taeyong takes a long, last glance at the grave before walking to the car and returning back home.

The brothers arrive back at home right before dinner. They were sitting down at the table, eating in silence with their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Lee kept on glancing at Taeyong, watching him slowly pick on his food.

"Are you not hungry, son?" Mrs. Lee asks. Taeyong shakes his head, keeping his head down and stirring his food with his fork.

"I don't seem to have an appetite today. I'm sorry, Eomma." Taeyong replies to his mother.

"Don't worry about it, son. Today is a hard day for you, we understand." Mr. Lee said. Taeyong looks up at his father and nods before continuing to stir his food.

After dinner, Taeyong is sitting down on his bed staring at his grey wall. He had an empty, blank expression on his face. He felt completely nothing. He felt empty. This is how he has felt for an entire year. A year without her.

The next morning, Taeyong is sitting in class, waiting for class to begin. High school was getting tiring and becoming a burden for Taeyong. All the homework, assignments, exams were heavy on his shoulders. He can't focus in class.

"Yah, Taeyong!" a voice calls out. Taeyong turns to see Jaehyun and Winwin across the room. They make their way over to Taeyong and sit down at the desks beside him.

"So, how was it yesterday?" Jaehyun asks with sympathy in his eyes. Taeyong sighs.

"It was okay." He replies softly. Winwin and Jaehyun sigh in relief.

"Thank GOD. I thought you did something bad like getting drunk or high." Jaehyun said. Taeyong laughs.

"I'm not stupid to do that. Come on, hyung. You know I'm better than that." Taeyong replies, making Jaehyun smile.

"Good, Good..." Jaehyun trails off as he looks across the room to see a girl staring at Taeyong. He smirks and turns to Taeyong.

"Yah, I think that girl is checking you out." He whispers to Taeyong. Taeyong rolls his eyes.

"I don't want anything with girls. I made a promise to my jagiya that I wouldn't-"

"But she's super pretty, hyung." Winwin whispers, staring at the girl. Taeyong scoffs and looks to the back of the room to see a pretty girl staring right at him. Once they made eye contact, the girl's eyes widen. She blushes and looks away. Taeyong smirks at and turns to the front.

"She isn't my jagiya." He says. Winwin and Jaehyun look at eachother and shrug.

After a long, boring lesson in class, Taeyong was at his locker grabbing his books for Math class. He was about to leave his locker when he sees someone standing next to him. The girl who was staring at him was standing next to him, smiling nervously. Taeyong smirks and turns to her, crossing his arms and leaning on the lockers.

"Yah.. I'm not looking for a girlfriend so-"

"Can you help me?" She softly says, looking down at her feet. Taeyong gives her a confused look.

"Excuse me?" He asks. The girl slowly looks up at him, biting her lip.

"I'm new here.. a-and I don't have anyone to guide me to my classes." The girl said, pulling out her schedule from her pocket. She unfolds the paper and shows it to Taeyong. He examines it closely and sees that the girl has the same Math class that he has. Along with Physical Education, Science, and History. Taeyong sighs.

"You seem to be in the same Math, P.E, Science, and History class as me." Taeyong replies, seeing the girl's eyes light up.

"Ohmygosh really?! I-I mean oh.. okay cool." She says, trying to keep calm. Taeyong chuckles and turns around.

"Come on, we're gonna be late." He says, fast-walking towards class. After walking a little, he hears the girl panting behind him.

"Hey.. slow down! You walk too fast." She breaths out, making Taeyong roll his eyes. He finally slows down bringing relief to the girl. Taeyong looks down at his watch on his wrist and his eyes widen as he looked at the time.

"We're late!" He says, turning to the girl. Her eyes widen as well. Taeyong suddenly grabs her  arm and starts running to class, with the girl running behind him. The hallways were empty which made it easier for them. Aigoo.. just great. This girl made me late for class, Taeyong thought to himself.

The two finally arrived at class, making everyone's attention go towards them. Taeyong rolls his eyes and sighs, letting go of the girl's arm.

"Lee Taeyong? Why must you be late this morning?" His teacher asks, taking of his glasses and setting them down on his desk.

"I was helping out a new student, sir." He replies, looking at the girl. The girl respectfully bows to the teacher.

"Annyeonghaseyo. My name is Park Rose." She says, smiling to the teacher. (A/N: I combined her real name and stage name together so sorry if it confuses people! And yes, Rose is Rose from BLACKPINK.) Taeyong's eyes widen as he heard the girl's name. He was shocked. Taeyong already didn't like her and her name.

"Welcome, Rose. Both of you are excused and may take a seat." The teacher says, putting his glasses back on. The two made their way to two empty seats in the back. Taeyong turns to look at Rose, who was already staring and smiling at him. He turns away and rolls his eyes.

Taeyong really didn't want anything to do with girls, and the whole school already knew that. Girls do have crushes on Taeyong, but they stay low and keep it hidden from him. They all know what he's been through this past year.

However, since Rose is new at their school, she knows nothing about Taeyong and the events that have occurred. She wants to get to know Taeyong, while Taeyong wants to stay away from her. He knew that her name meant trouble for him.

Rose.
