Madeline's POV- July 2017

"You're coming to Arizona!"

"Yes, I'm driving down there soon" I replied.

I smiled as my best friend, Alex grinned while clapping her hands together.

"How long will you be here for?"

"Five days" I answered.

She frowned.

"I'll be back two weeks after that" I mentioned.

The frown on her face dropped a bit as she nodded.

"Will the Dodgers be in town?"

I nodded.

"So I'd meet your boyfriend"

I smiled as she wiggled her eyebrows.

"You'd have to come to a baseball game" I began saying.

"You know how much I hate sports, but I will do it because I really want to meet Cody"

She smiled.

"Your eyes literally light up when I mention him"

There was no point in denying, I enjoyed talking about Cody.

"So is Auston still not speaking to you?"

"He is not" I responded.

"Same"

He tried to twist my words around telling Alex I wanted nothing to do with anyone who associated with him. Thankfully, I talked with Alex before he got to her. She just rolled her eyes and told him to grow up. I personally hated being the reason why two siblings were ignoring each other.

"I've honestly had enough, I feel like just telling mom and making him say sorry to you"

I shook my head.

"To be honest, I don't need an apology from him especially a forced one." I admitted.

I glanced up and smiled at Mady who stepped into the kitchen. She offered me a tired smile before greeting me,

"Morning"

"Good morning" I greeted.

She mouthed a,

"Thanks"

and proceeded to take two gulps from the mug filled with coffee.

"Did Cody spend the night?"

"No, but he's on his way" I answered.

"Did Nathan finally warm up to him?"

"Yeah, Cody won him over with cartoons" I stated.

Nate wasn't allowed to do much because of the cast. It was also hot outside, so he and Noah stayed inside. He wasn't allowed to play video games because he would need his hand to play. In order to keep himself entertained he read, watched TV and colored.

"How's his hand?"

"He's getting it check when mom gets back from her vacation next week" I answered.

"You said he fractured it?"

"Yeah, his wrist is fractured" I clarified.

"Ouch"

I nodded.

"You never fractured anything, right?"

"Just dislocated" I replied.

"How much did your mom freak out?"

"She nearly didn't go on vacation" I told her.

"What made her go?"
