I once was in love with this girl I knew.
And her eyes shined like stars.
I always thought we'd never be through,
but time and distance can pull you apart.
Its stupid but I had always hoped that she would still be mine.
Guess I should have known it was only a matter of time.
Before someone fell in love with her smile.
And saw those beautiful eyes.
Should have known it wouldn't even take a while.
Believe me when I say I know she's happy and having a good time.
Believe me I'm happy.
But I was happier when she was mine.
