"okay jimin, this is take five, alright? let's get it right this time."

jimin nodded silently, his pent up frustration threatening to burst out in tears if he opened his mouth. he neared the microphone again, knowing that his manager would kill him if he didn't get it right this time.

jungkook watched from the other side of the glass, his eyes focused on jimin's glassy eyes and choked up throat. his eyes followed the boy's movements as jimin opened his mouth, music filling up the studio. he followed jimin's wavering gaze that was directed towards his manager, who stood at the corner of the room with his arms crossed.

the younger boy felt his fists clench at the sight of his hyung's manager. just as he was about to go rip the man's hair out, jungkook was distracted by a whimper coming from the recording room. his eyes immediately darted towards jimin, his gaze softening at the sight of his hyung shaking in front of the microphone. before he could think twice, jungkook was dashing across the room, slamming the connecting door open and dragging jimin out by the wrist.

jimin made a sound of protest, glancing at his now smirking manager before being dragged out of the room. as soon as they were out of the room, his eyes fell on the jungkook, who seemed to be fighting the urge to make jimin's manager unable to have children. his thoughts were cut off when the younger pushed him into the bathroom, pinning both hands above his head and locking the door.

jungkook stared into jimin's glassy eyes, his breaths heavy and his eyes hooded.

"i hate him."

jimin licked his lips, his heart skipping a beat as he saw jungkook's eyes follow the motion. "what?"

"i hate him."

jimin tilted his head, not understanding the younger's words. "what do you mea-"

his words were cut short by jungkook placing his forehead on his own, his grip on his hyung's wrists tightening. "did you think i didn't see him?"

averting his eyes, jimin stared at the ground. "he was just looking at me jungkook, it's okay. don't worr-"

jungkook dropped one of jimin's hands, intertwining his own with his hyung's above him and wrapping his other hand around the older boy's waist. jimin's breath hitched as jungkook pulled him impossibly closer, the younger's breath hitting his parted lips.

jungkook's eyes darkened, his grip on jimin's waist tightening. "did you think i didn't see him hit you after the last concert? did you think that i didn't hear him yell at you for falling on the stage, instead of asking if you were okay? did you think i didn't see him taking advantage of you while everyone was supposed to be sleeping?"

jimin froze, his breath halting. "i don't know what you're talking about."

jungkook growled, pushing jimin against the wall. he pulled his hyung's shirt up, revealing the bruise covering a large area of the boy's stomach. "then what is this?"

shaking his head frantically, jimin pulled his shirt down. "i fell while practicing and-"

jungkook pushed the older boy's shorts up to reveal bruises littered around his inner thighs. jimin hissed, hurriedly pushing his shorts back to where they were and backing away from jungkook. "i-"

"did you think anyone believed you last week when you said you were limping because you fell on your ass? everyone knows, jimin! why did you let him? why did i let him?"

jungkook's eyes bore into jimin's, his gaze softening as the boy's lips began to shake.

"i-i was scared a-and i didn't want him to h-hurt you. i-i'm sorry, jungkook." tears began to fall down jimin's face, his body shaking under jungkook's.

the younger felt himself tear up at the thought of jimin bearing all the pain without anyone to help him. he imagined how his hyung must have felt as his manager had his way with him, not being able to speak up in fear of his friends being hurt.

jungkook pulled jimin into a soft embrace, stroking his hair and holding back his tears as his hyung began to sob softly into his neck.

after he had calmed down, jimin pulled away gently and smiled at his friend, wiping away his tears. "i'm sorry, jungkook."

the younger boy leaned into jimin's touch, not realizing he had begun crying. "why, hyung?"

jimin lifted his gaze, meeting jungkook's eyes. "hmm?"

pulling the older closer to him, jungkook pulled him into another embrace, burying his head into his neck. "it w-wasn't  your fault, hyung. y-you didn't do anything jimin, i-it wasn't your fault."

jimin smiled gently as the younger boy began to cry softly, finding the sudden change of positions amusing.

"jungkook," he said after a few minutes. the other boy pulled away, his eyes puffy from crying.

"yes hyung?" jungkook sniffled and rubbed his eyes, not meeting jimin's eyes.

jimin nugded jungkook's chin up, placing a soft kiss on his cheek. "thank you."

jungkook froze, staring at his hyung who was blushing softly, smiling at jungkook gently with his soft lips. the younger boy held his own burning cheeks, averting his gaze shyly and smiling at the ground. he felt his hyung grab his hand softly, tugging it gently from jungkook's face and intertwining their hands.

"let's go back, kookie."

jungkook nodded, smiling at his hyung shyly.

"okay, jiminie."
