So, I have a solid (ish plan). The story probably won't carry on for much longer, and I know that the way I plan on ending it is weird and might annoy a couple people. By might I mean definitely and by a couple people I mean everyone, but hey. My story.

Scott's POV
The day was hotter than ever, so we arranged to go to the beach, all six of us. Telling the others we would meet them there, Mitch and I headed over to Rory's with our stuff.

Once she had buzzed us in, I climbed the stairs as fast as I could in order to get there before she opened the door. I wanted to make her laugh, so I started singing.
Do you wanna build a sandcastle?
Come on lets go and play
I never see you anymore
Come out the door
It's like you've gone away
She opened the door laughing, while I just stood there waiting for her to finish.
"Okay, one," she said holding up a finger. "I saw you the day before yesterday, it wasn't that long ago. Two," she held up a second finger. "I might have plans with Lexi, so maybe I can't come," she joked. Lexi was a friend of hers from work, and though they weren't close they had met up once or twice.

"Yeah, right, we both know we planned this before, you don't have plans, Kevin will be there, so cmon let's go!" I said in one breath, grabbing her wrist and dragging her out of her apartment as Mitch looked on in amusement.
"Okay, okay, let me grab my stuff!"she exclaimed, smiling. I grudgingly let her go so she could pick up her bag and lock her door, and then it was her dragging me down the stairs.

We all had a great time at the beach, making the most of the good weather. We played a game of volleyball (me and Avi verses Rory and Kevin), while Kirstie and Mitch cheered us on. Our team won, and I couldn't help but rub it in.
"Well, what can I say. I'm just that awesome," I said, shrugging.
"We," Avi corrected playfully. "We are just that awesome." I conceded with a nod, when Kirstie interrupted.
"I don't really think it was a fair game, you actually play volleyball," she pointed out.
"No, no, it is fair. I used to play too," Rory said casually. "I don't anymore, but I did for a little bit back in school." I turned to her.
"And here I was, thinking you were just naturally talented," I claimed.
"Yeah, well, that too," she said flippantly. "Hey, do you want to go in the water?" I nodded eagerly and the others agreed with me, even Mitch who grudgingly nodded.

Kirstie however, didn't say anything as she lay back and sunbathed.
"Hey Kirst, are you coming?"
"No no, you guys go ahead," she said, shading her eyes from the sun.
"Wrong answer," I said, scooping her off her towel and carrying her bridal style toward the water.
"Scott, no!" She screamed. I didn't reply and the others caught us up, laughing. Rory moved in front of us to walk backwards, waving to Kirstie with a teasing smile.
"Having fun there?" She asked with a wicked grin. She didn't get an answer because we had reached the water. Once we were deep enough that I knew she wouldn't get hurt, I dropped Kirstie into the water.

She came up spluttering. As she shook her dripping hair out of her face, she glared at me.
"Dead. Meat." She said, before starting a water fight of epic proportions that lasted a long time.

Mitch's POV
We eventually stopped splashing each other, and decided to go dry off in the sun. Walking back to our stuff, we laid out towels in a row like you see in the movies and settled down to chat.
"Ugh, it's so hot here. I'm not exactly complaining, but-" Rory started.
"That's complaining," I interrupted.
"Yeah, yeah. Just because you live in Antarctica." Kirstie agreed.
"Britain, actually. Unfortunately, I'm still basically reflective."
"Shut up and tan then," Scott said. "I don't have the energy to maintain a conversation." We all agreed, so the talking stopped and we just lazed around.

Maybe a half hour later, someone's phone began buzzing. We all heard it, even over both of the quiet conversations being held.
"Whose is that?" Rory asked, sitting up and looking around. "Oh, it's mine." She stood up and walked a little way to answer the phone, the rest of us going back to our conversations so we wouldn't seem rude. It didn't exactly stop Kirstie and I, who were closest, from listening in.

"Hey? Jay! Oh, I'm sorry I didn't call yesterday. You sure? Okay then, what's up?... What? You are kidding! Tell me you aren't lying, please. I don't think I could take it... Wait, you're here already?... Sure, I'm at the beach. Give me.. Half an hour? Okay. Maybe order me one? Yeah, usual. See you in a bit. Love you!" She hung up.

"Hey guys, I have to go right now, but I'll see you all later?" She asked as she slipped her shirt over her swimsuit.
"Sure," we agreed. She wriggled into her shorts and grabbed her flip flops and bag, before waving.
"Bye," she yelled over her shoulder, calling a cab.

"And then there were five," Avi said, laying back down.
