If this chapter is a bit all over the place, that's because I didn't sleep last night. I'll probably come back and rework it later, but I wanted you guys to have something.

Mitch's POV

We sat expectantly as Scott held his hands up. "You ready for this?" He asked Rory. She nodded uncertainly. "I think you should do a collab with us!"

"OMG yessss!" I squealed.

"Wait what? Backup, mister," she said. "Firstly, your PTX thing or the superfruit channel you told me about?" I looked at Scott.

"Both!" We said together, watching as she shook her head slowly.

"I don't know, guys.." She trailed off. Scott pouted, showing her His puppy dog eyes. "Ugh, fine. Avi, you have competition."

"Yay!" I said, dancing while sat down. She just looked at me.

"You seem... Excited." I shrugged, shooting her a hey-can-you-blame-me smile. "Soo, when?" Scott thought for a second.

"You can do the superfruit with us later, since its supposed to be up tomorrow," he said slowly. "And... Well I guess the ptx one we can do sometime in the next week or so. How's that?" He asked the rest of us. We all nodded enthusiastically, Kirstie nearly falling off the chair. "Alright then. You guys want food?"

We walked downstairs. Avi and Kirstie were at the front, talking about hats. Kevin and Rory followed them, and Kevin grabbed her hand, which looked adorable. I think her ears went pink. Scott and I followed them, and I nudged him when I noticed Kevin whisper something in her ear that made her shove him and tell him to 'be nice'.

"They're really cute together," he said quietly. "Kevin looks really happy, and Rory seems perfect for him. Speaking of boyfriends..." He said, glancing at me. "How are you holding up?"

I thought about it. After my major freakout on Saturday, I hadn't thought about it that much. I spaced out a couple times, but that was it. I felt kinda bad, to be honest, even if I was relived at the same time. Aren't you supposed to be mopey for longer than an evening when you break up from a long term relationship? Maybe I missed having someone there, because I didn't miss Travis. That meant that possibly I just liked the idea of Travis, and not the guy himself..

I was partway through telling Scott this when Avi shouted back to us.

"Hey guys, Donnie's or the burger place?" He yelled, walking backwards with his arms spread in question.

"Burgers!" Scott.

"Let's get burgers, Avi." Kirstie.

"Burgers. Always and before anything else." Rory.

"Burgers, then." Kevin. They all spoke at once.

"Burgers, I guess," I added. Avi nodded before turning down the street. It wasn't too far, so we walked.

Having had our orders taken and received our drinks, we were sat chatting when Kirstie asked. "Oh hey Mitch, how was your date?" The table fell silent, and I felt Rory and Scott, who were sat either side of me in the booth, stiffen. Oh That's right, I hadn't told them yet. Now or never.

"Actually," I said matter of factly, taking a sip of my drink. "We broke up." I felt them relax, probably relived that it hadn't triggered any sobbing or upset.

"Oh. Okay. Wow," Kirstie said. "Was not expecting that."

"How're you holding up, man?" Avi asked, Kevin nodding in agreement and looking at me with concern.

"Better than I thought, better than I thought," I said, smiling slightly. "I had a major freakout yesterday, but I think it was more over the idea of losing someone, not specifically Travis. Like, I loved the idea of him, but not him, if that makes any sense?" I saw Scott and Rory look at each other, which I didn't get, but Kirstie was nodding.

"I get it, I think." We talked about it for a little while longer, before moving on. What I was so grateful about, though, was that after I told them they didn't act like they were stepping on eggshells around me.

We were still chatting loudly when the food came. The booth was shaped like a horseshoe, with Kevin on the outside, then Rory, me, Scott, Kirstie, and Avi opposite Kevin on the other end. Kevin and Avi were talking, I was talking to Rory (who had her head on Kevin's shoulder) and Scott and Kirstie were gossiping. However, it all stopped when the burgers arrived. Aside from the occasional groan of delight, the table was silent.

"Wow," Rory said, pushing back her plate. "Can I live here?" We all laughed, and the chatter began. The bill came and was paid, and after finishing our drinks we got ready to go.

"Please, we have to come here again," Rory said to me. I smiled and nodded, then smirked as Kevin came over and grabbed her hand, causing her ears to go pink. He noticed too, and tapped them, laughing. Rory scowled.

"Ahh, I think it's cute," Kevin said between giggles, because let's face it, that's what they were. His laugh was contagious, and soon Rory and I joined in.

Shortish, but I needed to stop it here so the next chapter would make sense as a whole.
