Joslyn's POV

Waking up to an empty room isn't much fun. I rub the sleep from my eyes and check my phone, seeing it's already 10:00. I click on the message icon and notice that Cameron texted me.

Good morning, Beautiful -x C

I smile and quickly type in a response.

Good morning, Blondie -x J

Hopping out of bed I walk down the stairs towards the kitchen and grab a granola bar. There's a note on the fridge that reads, "Jos, I ran out to the store, see you soon!"

I feel a buzz in my hand and see that Cam texted me back.

Wanna do something today? -x C

Come and help me unpack and then we can go out to lunch or something? -x J

Hoping he says yes, I run up to my room to get dressed. As I'm shuffling through my duffle bag I grab a pair of dark jean shorts and a tie-dye cut off t-shirt.

I look in the mirror and notice that my hair is still damp from my shower last night. I run a brush through my hair and decide to leave it out today. My hair is a gold-blonde color and falls down my back in loose waves.

My phone vibrates again and I check the message from Cam.

Sure Babe, I'll be over in 5 -x C

A smile spreads across my face at the thought of him coming over. I run down the stairs and decide to read a book while I wait. I loose myself in the words on the page and don't even notice that someone is here until there's a hand on my shoulder.

I jump at the sudden interruption. "Oh my gosh, you scared the shit out of me," I scold, punching him lightly.

Cam let's out a chuckle, and pulls me into a hug. He smells of musty cologne and I smile into his chest. Looking up, I notice I was a little off when I said he was 5'11''. I see now that he's closer to 6'1'' as his figure towers over me. A smirk appears on his face and I blush, he caught me staring.

Chill bumps rise on my skin as I become painfully aware of his hands placed under my cutoff t-shirt; the span of his hand covering my whole back. I look up into his eyes and notice the bright green of his eyes mirrors the green of mine. He's staring into my eyes, making me blush. Unwrapping my arms from his neck, I clear my throat.

"Stop trying to distract me, we have work to do." He laughs at me as I make my way to the steps. His hands are still on my hips as I walk in front of him up the stairs. "Tada!" I say flinging my door open. I cringe at the sound it makes as it hits the wall.

"Nice presentation to your empty room," Cam says laughing. "So where do we start?"

"Uh, well if you hadn't already seen the wall of boxes right there," I say in a sarcastic tone.

"Right, so you do all of the work while I sit back and watch you get hot and sweaty." He says, attempting to finalize the workload on me.

"Hah, no. If you did that, you would be drooling honey. Now hand me one of those boxes."

He frowns playfully, but hands me a box anyway. Throughout the time we spend unpacking, Cam messes with my things and pretends to act like me, using a fake girly voice. At times, he even held up my undergarments and would prance around the room like a little girl.

About 2 hours later we are finally finished. We make our way downstairs to grab something to eat. "What do you want to eat?" I ask him.

"Umm, we can make sandwiches?"

"Ok, can you grab the things from the fridge?" I began to prepare our sandwiches when I feel something hit me in the side of the face. I look over to find Cameron standing there with a bag of goldfish in his hands, smiling? He just hit me in the face and he's smiling? "Did you just hit me in the face with a goldfish?" I say slowly walking towards him.

"I don't know, did I?" he retorts. A smirk plays on his face as he reaches into the bag again to grab a handful of fish.

"Shit!" I yell, as he pelts me with the snack. I reach on top of the fridge and grab a bag of pretzels. Unrolling the top, I run out the side door of the kitchen. I jump behind a bush and wait for him to pass. Seeing a figure appear, I begin to attack the on comer with my pretzels.

"Ahhhh!" he screams like a little girl running by with his hands covering his head. He once again reaches into the bag, but then his face pales.

"All out of ammo?" I say with a smirk. He nods his head and raises his hands in surrender. "I win."

Cameron's POV

I can't help the smile that spreads across my face when she looks at me. I literally met her yesterday and I already want to spend the rest of the summer with her, and only her.

Making our way back inside I place my hands on her hips, guiding her through the door. Since she is wearing a cut t-shirt, my hands rest on her bare skin. A shiver runs up her spine and I chuckle. Leaning down, I whisper, "Cold?"

"No, but your hands are," she says brushing my touch away. I see a pink tint high up on her cheeks and smirk.

"Oh, I'm sure."

She mutters something under her breath that I can't quite make out, but it sounds something like, "Ugh, you keep distracting me."

Laughing to myself, I finish up making our lunches for her while she sits down at the table. I feel her eyes trained on me, watching my every move. "So, do you have any other hobbies besides staring at me?" I ask her.

She blushes, knowing she's been caught. "Don't be so cocky." She laughs. I can't help but look at her profile when she looks down at her hands.

She has a sharp jaw line, high cheekbones, full pink lips, and a smile that never seems to falter. Her eyes are similar to mine, but they have a sense of mischief in them. The bright green is surrounded by highlights of blue, they remind me of the ocean.

Before I know it, I'm making my way across the kitchen, taking her hands in mine and pulling her up to stand in front of me. She looks shocked, but her eyes glitter with excitement.

My hand reaches up and brushes across her cheek as I look back and forth between her lips and eyes. My lips part when she moves in slightly. Pulling her closer, I move my lips to her ear. "You like to have fun don't you? I can see it in your eyes; there's a spark. You keep hoping for something to happen, what is it?"

"Nothing," she breathes.

We're interrupted when we hear the door open. We fly apart as her mother and father walk through the doorway.

Both of us attempt to catch our breath as she greets her parents. "Dad, this is Cameron. Cameron, this is my dad."

Reaching over I shake his hand, "hello Mr. Brady."

"Call me John," he says smiling.

Grabbing our sandwiches, Jos says bye to her parents and leads me to her living room. "Awkward." She says and I laugh.

We finish off our sandwiches, and decide to go to the beach.

Dear lord, I can't wait to see her in a swimsuit.
