o - first kill (prologue)

Johanna winced as she felt Behemoth's dagger whizz past her slicing her arm.

"Brave." He mocked playfully twirling his second dagger in his other hand. He was a District 2 tribute and he happened to see her sharpening her newfound axe in the woods, with the opportunity to kill her in his line of sight he decided to play with his prey first.

Wrong choice.

Johanna took the opportunity to sprint away, axe in hand as she felt the second dagger whizz past her head missing her just a few inches. She heard Behemoth curse from behind her as she sprinted faster and faster. Once she was out of sight she climbed the nearest tree as fast as she can and hid behind the tree's foliage.

Behemoth came bolting after a few minutes, tired but determined. Johanna could see he was out of weapons. He was clearly underestimating her. She screamed ferociously as she jumped down from her perch embedding her axe's blade into his skull as she landed on his back.

It took him a while to die. He looked at her unbelievably, fear finally showing across his bloody face. The axe was still buried into his skull as he tried to pull it out. Johanna laughed. He looked pathetic.

She snickered as he kneeled down in pain, wheezingly trying to grasp the handle of the axe his hands slipping on his blood-stained hands.

Boom.

Johanna didn't waste time as she pulled her axe with a sickening crunch. She grabbed his backpack and kicked his corpse.

"We're just getting started!" She yelled to no one in particular. Johanna was finally ready. The meek deer facade was gone and now she finally revealed her true self- a predator.

The people of the Capitol knew she was referring to them and they cheered for her from the comforts of their own living room, whether they be in their houses, the plaza or even watching from their phones.

Because finally, Johanna Mason- the feeble lamb, was a murderer.

And they loved it.
