Chapter 8: Jealousy

I opened my eyes and let out a yawn. Stretching, I didn't feel anyone next to me which meant Leon had already gotten up. Why am I even thinking about him? I got up and headed to the bathroom to freshen up. Wonder what horrors I'll be facing today. I let out a sigh and went downstairs. Right when I reached the bottom floor, Alex came running towards me and jumped on me, almost making me fall down in the process.

"Hey, boy," I chirped.

"Morning, beautiful," Dean said, sending a wink my way.

"Morning," I smiled.

"When did you start becoming.. Happy?" He asked," Don't tell me.. You and Leon?! I swear to god I'm gonna kick his fat ass-"

"N-No! Nothing like that," I slightly yelled. He doesn't have a fat ass..

"What was that?" Leon inquired, walking towards Dean and I.

"What was what?" I said, nervously.

"What you just said," Leon smirked. Holy shit! I said that out loud didn't I?!

"Uhh nothing. I was just talking about how.." I started saying, looking around the room for something to talk about," Dean looks really good today!"

"What?" Leon growled.

"I look good everyday, sweetheart," Dean said, walking up to me and wrapping an arm around me.

"Back off, Dean," Leon commanded.

"What? Scared that I'll steal (y/n) away from you? There's no point for you to be scared. She's already mine," Dean smirked.

"Piss off,"  Leon said, glaring holes into Dean.

"F-" Dean started.

"Both of you, stop acting childish and grow up," I said, interrupting Dean. Leon stopped glaring at Dean and stormed off.

"Leon-" I started to speak.

"Forget about him," Dean said, bringing me into an embrace. I struggled to get out of his grasp and chased Leon upstairs. I entered our room and found Leon staring out the window. I walked up to him and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"You okay?" I asked, filled with concern.

"I'm fine," Leon said.

"No, your not." He slowly turned around. I could tell he was annoyed by all this because he was clenching his fists in anger. "What is up with you? You've been acting weird lately. Look, if it really bothers you that Dean is being an ass-"

"That's not what's bothering me." He said not making eye contact with me.

"Then what exactly is?" I asked. Before I could react, Leon came up to me then put his index finger under my chin lifting my face up to his. Not wasting anytime, he smashed his lips on mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck, playing with the ends of his hair. He picked me up then carried me to the bed carefully laying me down with him on top of me. His lips never left mine. I went to go play with his hair again but he grabbed my wrists then held them above my head.

"I don't think so." He said against my lips then his lips formed a smirk. He then went down to my neck leaving trails of kisses. He found my sweet spot which made me moan. Out of embarrassment, I quickly put my hands over my mouth feeling my cheeks burn.

"Cute." He said chuckling.

His lips went back to mine kissing me passionately. All of a sudden I heard the door open making Leon jump off of me. I saw Mike standing in the door way too shocked to move or speak.

"Uh, hey there." I said trying to break the awkward silence. Keyword "trying". To my surprise Mike didn't tear Leon's head off but still sent a glare his way. Could this possibly get any more awkward? Mike let out a sigh before speaking.

"Dean and I are going to go searching for useful things. If you guys want to join, we leave in 10 minutes." He said before walking downstairs leaving Leon and I alone.

"I-I'm gonna go join them." I stuttered before calling Alex's name which made him come up to my side. I panicked, my cheeks were a bright red and I didn't know what else to say other than that. I quickly walked downstairs to Dean and Mike to let them know I'm coming. I then heard Leon come down the stairs behind me.

"We'll tag along." Leon said before picking his jacket up from the chair to put it on.

"It's safer to be in a group. Alright, grab your things and lets head out." Mike announced then headed out the door. Before I followed Dean and Mike on the way out Leon grabbed my hand.

"Hey, do you regret what happened back there? If so I'm sorry-" There was a trace of nervousness in his voice.

"No I don't regret anything." I said chuckling at him. He soon smiled knowing I felt the same.

"That's good to hear." He said.

We were about to lock lips again before Mike yelled.

"Come on guys! You can make out when we get back!"

We quickly pulled away embarrassed. Mike always interrupts us.

So far we've only found some food, no water. We then heard a loud scream coming from a barn. We quickly made our way there to find about 15 infected and a girl around my age struggling with them.

"Shit!" She yelled as one of the infected came closer to her. We quickly killed all the infected in the barn, then I rushed to her side asking her if she's hurt. She let out a sigh before speaking.

"Yeah I'm fine. These guys are all over the place aren't they?"

"Like annoying flies." I joked.

"My name's Selene by the way."

"I'm (y/n), this is Leon, Dean, my brother Mike and my little buddy Alex." I noticed when I introduced Leon to Selene, her eyes never left him and honestly, I was a little jealous.

"Well I guess I'll be on my way then." She said then walked passed Leon purposely brushing her hand on his. Leon was shocked for a second but then he probably thought it was an accident and he just let it go. I crossed my arms as I glared at her.

"Wait, maybe you should stick with us I mean, you don't want to end up in the same situation you were in a few minutes ago right?" I heard Dean say before she walked out of the barn.

"You're shitting me right-" I started before Selene rudely interrupted.

"I would love to!" She said before looking back at me with an evil smirk.
