"Happy birthday, (Y/N)!" The group said in unison with huge grins plastered on their faces. Mike then handed me a tray with a plate of pancakes and a glass of milk on the side.

"Guys, you're too sweet." I thankfully say. Lucy then walks up to me, telling me to close my eyes. As I do so, I feel something placed on top of my head. I open my eyes and look to the closet mirror beside me. On top of my head is a flower crown carefully crafted with sticks and white and light blue hydrangea.

"I hope you have a wonderful birthday, mom," Lucy says, giving me a bright smile. I thank her, trapping her in a huge bear hug. I quickly ate my food, excited for today.

"Are you ready for our date?" Leon inquires, walking up beside me.

"Date?" I ask, raising an eyebrow while turning my head to look up at him. "Here?"

"Leon had us work our asses off on getting a place set up for the two of you," Dean said in an irked tone. Mike appeared behind him, elbowing him in the back.

"That hurt, dickwad-"

"What he meant to say was that OUR gift to you was a romantic date between you and Leon," Mike added before Dean could finish his sentence.

"Is that why I haven't seen you guys around much this week?" I point out. They all nod their heads with huge smiles on their faces.

"Be ready in two hours," Leon says, sending a wink my way. Leon's and my first official date. I then went to go check on Hope before I started getting ready for the eventful day ahead.

"Hi baby." I peek at her, playing with her hair that's starting to grow. She's going to have dirty blonde hair just like her dad and my Hazel eyes. Earlier I had slipped a cute elephant onesie on Hope, the hood being the elephants eyes and trunk. Her smile melts my heart as I caress her cheek.

"(Y/N)?" Selene calls, peeking in from the doorway. I give Hope a goodbye kiss as I meet Selene at the door. She hurriedly grabs my hand, bringing me towards her room. She opens the door, she pulls me in and slams it shut, locking it behind her.

"Selene? Is something wrong?" I ask, giving her a puzzled look.

"Close your eyes," she says in an excited tone, slightly bouncing were she stood. The moment I close my eyes, I can hear the sound of her closet door opening and shuffling coming from inside.

"Okay, you can open your eyes now."

As I open my eyes, a beautiful baby blue cocktail dress with a flowery design was laid out on the bed in front of me. On the floor below it was a pair of matching baby blue heals that looked about three inches high.

"For your date," Selene said, going back to her conceited self, a slight blush on her cheeks.

I admire the dress then thank Selene. She quickly shoo's me to put on the dress and heels knowing we have to leave to our date soon. The dress fits like a glove and the heels fit perfectly. I fix my hair in the mirror and quickly grab a knife holster with one of my trusty blades and slip it onto my thigh. Better safe than sorry. I then went to go find Leon. I go into the living room to find Leon leaning against the wall looking out the window. He's in a typical tux looking very fine. Looking like a snack.

He turns his head noticing me then makes his way over to me with a toothy smile. He towers over me, wrapping his hands around my waist as I put my hands around his neck.

"You're so beautiful." He compliments. I blush, looking away. He lifts my chin up to plant a sweet kiss on my lips. A voice interrupts our moment.

"Ok lovebirds, your date setup is waiting for you." I hear Dean say, dismissing us. He already answered my question knowing I would ask who's going to watch Lucy, Hope and little Alex. On cue, Alex prances in towards Leon and I all excited. I bend down to pet him.

"They'll be fine we're all going to watch them." He assures.

"Thank you again, Dean," I say, sending a smile his way. The second I do so, Leon grabs me by the hand and pulls me out the door. He begins to head towards his motorcycle until I stop him. He looks at me, confused.

"You do realize I'm wearing a dress right?" I ask. "And you're wearing a tux."

"Your point?" He responds. I sigh.

"How far exactly is the place?"

"Probably about a fifteen minute walk from here," He states.

"Close enough," I say as I enter-twine my fingers with his.

"I could get used to this," He smirks.

~~~~~
After dodging a couple of zombies in the streets, we stopped in front of a large building that looked less broken down compared to the others. Leon let go of my hand as he walked up to the front door to open it.
"Ladies first," he winked.
I walk in and noticed elegant decorations and round tables with white clothes covering them. But one table has a vase with deep red flowers placed in the middle of the table. I'm guessing that's where we're sitting. I smile at the thought of everyone putting this together for my birthday.
"It's so clean and not trashed like other places."
"We did a little remodeling so it didn't ruin our appetite." Leon explains.
He leads me towards the table then pulls out the chair. I take a seat then he makes his way towards the kitchen.
"Where are you going?" I ask confused.
"To make us dinner!" He calls out.
While he cooks our food I admire the place once more. I know it took work to make this place presentable. Not long after he comes out with two plates filled with Mushroom Florentine Pasta and surprisingly wine.
He carefully places the plates and wine down.
"For you my darling." He says proudly.
I try to contain my excitement but that fails.
"Leon! Where'd you get the mushrooms and the wine?!" He laughs before answering.
"They're canned mushrooms and the wine hasn't expired yet."
"I love you, Leon."
"I love you too baby. Now let's dig in I'm hungry."
We take our first bite and the flavors in my mouth, I haven't tasted since we had the outbreak. I was savoring every bite and every sip of the wine, this moment couldn't be anymore better.
As we chow down on the delicious food, the lights begin to flicker.
"Must be faulty wiring," Leon says. After a couple minutes pass, the sound of moaning and scratching could be heard from outside.
Suddenly, the sound of glass breaking came from the entrance.
Great.
