"What are you two doing here?" Mary asked, suddenly noticing the two boys who had joined her.

"Nothing much," John answered.

"Just looking,"James replied.

"Why?"Mary asked.

Both boys shrugged.

"Oh"

"Don't you boys have clubs to go to?" Mary asked trying to chase them away.

"Nope,"James answered.

"Me neither,"John answered.

"Games?" Mary shot back still trying to push them away.

"Nope!" James answered.

"Never tried,"John replied.

"What are you clubless, gameless guys called?"Mary asked slightly interested.

"You speak as if you are in a club. Which makes me wonder, are you in a club?" James asked deciding to switch the questions to her.

"No!" replied Mary, "that's why I'm sitting here with nothing to do except talk to a random douchebag!"

This was sure to get them away from her, Mary thought.

"That's not very nice," John said.

"Sorry," she said looking away from all of them.

"What is bothering you?" James asked.

"I'm...... I'm average. There I said I am a normal girl," she said like she was letting go of a burden.

"So what is wrong with that?" John asked.

"I'm normal," Mary said in a sad tone.

"Wait, you've been in this school for a whole year and you're realizing this now?" John asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Don't worry," James said patting her on the back, "it's okay to be normal."

"No, it's not!" she yelled moving away from them.

She was now standing in front of them.

"I kinda agree with him,"John said.

"Well I don't. I don't want to just be normal," Mary said putting her hands next to either side of her face.

"So what do you want?" John said.

"I want,"she paused dramatically, "I want to really live. Don't you want that too?"

John and James turned to each other then shrugged.

"Can't you just try?"Mary beckoned to them.

"As long as it's not dangerous," James said, "I'm in!"

"I'll stick around to ensure 'normal girl' here goes to a good hospital at the end of this 'mission,"John said.

"Thanks! By the way, I don't know any of you,"Mary said.

"We don't know you either,"James replied.

"Oh,"Mary suddenly realised, "my name's Mary. Mary Reynolds."

"My name is John Burd."

"I'm James Isan."

Then they stood up to leave.

"Alright, boys,"Mary said,"we will meet tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow."

"Later!"

"Come tomorrow feeling extraordinary!"Mary yelled to them as they left.

"Okay, "James said giving her a skeptical look.

"Got it!" John answered with a concerned look on his face.
