Get Shiggy With It

Summary: My friend and I came up with the ship name. Get it? 'Cause Shaun + Iggy = Shiggy? So original amirite???

Shaun sulked out of the dark room. "God, that movie was so boring."
"I thought it was pretty good," Andre commented, strutting along.
The pair exited the theater, heading towards the parking lot while the burning summer heat cooked them.
"Damn, it's hot out here." Shaun slipped off his sweatshirt.
Andre sighed. "You just wanted to get out of the theater and now you're complaining about the heat?"
"Hey, I have a good idea," Shaun changed the subject. "How 'bout we head to my apartment or something?"
Andre rested a finger on his chin. "Hm. That is a good idea." A lightbulb went off above his head. "Buuut, if we go to my place, we can have pizza pockets." A smile creeped up on his face.
"Ooh, good point." Shaun began fanning himself. "Y'know, as long as I'm out of the heat, I'll be good."
"Good," Andre said, leading Shaun to his car. "I wouldn't want you accidentally getting a heatstroke."
"Nerd," Shaun taunted, following into the passenger seat of the vehicle.
Soon, the two of them were on the streets and on the highway. Andre, looking both ways, carefully switched to the right-most lane. He cruised. Before he mustered up a conversation, he heard rattling next to him.
"CD's?" Shaun scrambled through a pile of CD containers, selecting one called 'Michael Jackson's Greatest Hits'. "Duuuude, you're so old. Why don't you use your phone?"
Andre laughed. "Bro, why do you think I've got an aux cord in my glove compartment?"
Shaun opened up the cubby in front of him. "Oh."
With one hand on the wheel, Andre plucked the cord from the compartment and plugged it in to his car radio.
"Go ahead and play your playlist or something," he said to Shaun.
Shaun stared at the radio. Then he averted his attention to the vintage looking CD. The covers of each container hypnotized his into a daze, almost as if he could see flashbacks of the past.
"Y'know what," Shaun decided, "how about I play some of those?"
"Go ahead. I'm sure you can find most of the songs online though."
They drove underneath a highway. Shaun stared at the rusted and worn-away graffiti on the concrete walls. He admired the many of what seemed used to be vibrant colors, but have now rotted with time. Shaking his head, Shaun slipped in one of the CDs. The drums of Bobby Brown's 'Every Little Step' began thumping through the speakers.
     "Oh. My. God." Shaun said.
He turned to look at Andre, who was embarrassingly trying to hide his red face behind the wheel while trying to keep his eye on the road.
"Dude, my parents would always play this song. They practically shoved it down my throat," Shaun laughed. "I fucking love this song."
Andre continued to drive until he suddenly heard something so wretched, he had to look at the source of where it came from.
"Every little step I take," Shaun sang, "You will be there. Every little step I make, we'll be together..."
He began bouncing in his seat, point at Andre and then holding his heart as if he was singing to him. Andre had to withstand the miserable four minutes of loud screeching in his car–A.K.A. Shaun's beautiful singing voice.
In reality, Andre wanted to join in the screeching, and eventually he couldn't hold it in any longer.
"Every little step I make, we'll be together!"
"I can't sleep at night, I toss and turn, listenin' for the telephone," Shaun began.
"But when I get your call, I'm all choked up, can't believe you called my home," Andre continued.
"And as a matter of fact, it blows my mind you would even talk to me!"
"Because a guy like you is like a dream come true, a real life fantasy!"
Shaun snorted and asked, "Did you just say 'guy'?"
Andre flinched and clutched onto the steering wheel. "Uh–"
"Oh my God, Andre," Shaun busted up laughing in his seat.
The driver awkwardly laughed, sweating and blushing while uncomfortably driving. We're almost there, he thought to himself, we're almost there.
"I remember when we used to sing that to each other in high school as if we were lovers and shit," Shaun said, "but I never recalled you saying 'a GUY like you'. Bro, you're too great."
     "Y-yeah," Andre nervously trembled. "You're g-great too."
"Heh," Shaun chuckled. "God, I love you, Iggy."
Andre froze. He continued to drive, but remained silent for the rest of the ride. Poor, ignorant Shaun continued singing to the rest of the jams on the CD.

The microwave beeped, and Andre retrieved the hot, steaming pizza pockets. Shaun reached for one until his hand was humorously slapped out of the way.
"Careful. It's hot," Andre scolded with a smirk.
"Okay, mom," Shaun said, walking into the living room along with his bud and the plate of food.
Andre looked through his collection of DVDs. "Whatcha wanna watch?"
"Eh," Shaun rested on the couch. "Doesn't matter."
"Uh, yeah it does," Andre said. "You didn't like the movie we watched earlier today."
"That's different," Shaun said. "I trust in your judgement."
"Do you?" Andre picked out a DVD.
"Sure," Shaun said, stuffing himself with a pizza pocket. "I totally feel like a kid again eating these and hanging out with you."
Andre slipped in a movie and set it up. "I miss those times."
"Me too," Shaun replied. "At least we can still kinda do that now."
Andre sighed. A wave of nostalgia hit him. "Yeah."
The film began playing and the two sat back on the couch, binging on their pizza pockets.
"I don't think I've seen this movie before," Shaun commented.
"For real?" Andre responded with a mouthful of pizza pockets. "This is like, from the 90s."
     "Nerd."
After an hour in, the sun was already down and Shaun was caught snoring. Andre realized that his bud was using his shoulder as a pillow, so Shaun was practically dozing on Andre. However much uncomfortable it was for him, this was his dream. They eventually fell asleep in each others warmth.

Andre opened up his eye to see the lights on. He sat up, realizing Shaun wasn't on him anymore, but a couple yards away staring into a giant album of old photos. Andre jumped.
"Dude, what're you doing?!" Andre watched Shaun, standing at a table, folding through the grainy pictures.
Out of nowhere, he held up a folded up piece of paper to Andre. His heart dropped.
     "Shaun..." Andre gasped.
He quickly got up and snatched the note from Shaun's hand.
"You didn't read it, did you?"
     "Too late," Shaun replied.
Andre blushed and shamefully buried his hands in his arms.
"I found this album in your bookcase," Shaun told. "You're such a nerd."
At that moment, Andre could feel himself shrivel up inside and wanted to shoot himself in the head. He buried his face further in his arms, but Shaun gently unwrapped Andre's limbs and help his hands tightly.
"But a cute nerd." he said. "If you really feel that way about me, why do you hide it?"
"Because I didn't wanna ruin our relationship." Andre turned his head to the photo album, seeing an old picture of the two in high school in each others arms. "But I guess the news had to spill out sometime."
Shaun stared into Andre's eyes for a few moments. They shared a warm gaze. Andre was still shameful of himself, but seeing a smile on Shaun's face reassured him.
Shaun immediately placed his lips onto Andre's and let their plush flesh rest on each others.
