chapter nine

Ana was in Berlin, Germany. Her first time in the country and it was to fight anyone who got in the way of Steve and his friend Bucky, who apparently, wasn't the bomber in Vienna. It was something she wasn't sure whether or not to believe, but Steve seemed adamant that it wasn't him, and Ana trusted him enough to abide by his word.

They arrived at the airport with Clint driving them in a large white van. Wanda was sitting shot gun, while Ana sat in the back with a man named Scott Lang. Based on the quick debriefing Clint had given them on him, all Ana knew about him was that he could shrink small. Ant-Man.

He was knocked out for the majority of the journey there, so when they finally came to a stop in the airport parking garage, Ana leaned over and poked his arm with her finger. "Hey, it's go time buddy. Wake up."

As she began shaking him, he flinched and his eyes sprung open. Ana chuckled and opened the van door, to meet Steve, Sam, and a man who she recognized from the news as Bucky standing off awkwardly to the side by the blue buggy Steve had driven them over in. Hopping out of the vehicle, Ana smiled at Steve, but at the sight of her, he furrowed his brows. "Are you sure you want to do this? Because once you do, you can't go back and you still have your whole life ahead of you."

"Steve, you once let me risk my life fighting off an army of robots." Ana told him, placing her hands on her hips. "If you think I'm backing out of this then you have got to be crazy."

Steve gave her a tight-lipped smile, and felt a pang of guilt for letting her do this. But at the same time, he knew Ana, and he knew she was a head-strong fifteen year-old and even if he told her she couldn't help them, she would still do it anyways.

As they turned their attention to Scott, he didn't waste another moment to walk over to Steve and shake his hand. "Captain America! This is an honor. Wow! This is awesome! Look, I just wanna say, I know you know a lot of super people, so thinks for thanking of me." Ana let out a snort, which went unnoticed by Scott as he looked at Sam and grinned. "Hey, man!"

"What's up, Tic Tac?" Sam greeted him, keeping a straight face with his arms crossed over his chest.

Chuckling, Scott scratched the back of his neck awkwardly and said, "Uh, good to see you. Look, what happened last time..."

"It was a great audition, but it'll never happen again." Sam told him, shaking his head.

"They tell you what we're up against?" Steve cut in, looking to Scott.

His eyes flickering between Steve and Sam, Scott gave him a small shrug. "Um, something about some psycho-assassins?"

"We're outside the law on this one." Steve informed gravely. "So, if you come with us, you're a wanted man."
