I sat there staring at the flowers. I couldn't believe he said he loves me. I thought he was lying to me when he told me he loved me, thought he said that so I wouldn't tell on him and on his father. It worked.

"So who the flowers from?"

"April sweet heart are you okay?" I turned to look at him

"Ya I'm fine."

"Who are the flowers from?" I looked down at the card.

"It's from....." I didn't get to finish my sentence because his phone rang.

"Give me a moment sweet heart."

"Go ahead and answer it it's probably Annie wondering when you are going to ask her out on a date." I laughed.

"You saw that."

"Yes now answer your phone." I went back staring at the flowers. Little bit later my uncle broke my train of thought .

"How did you know it was Annie?"

"I didn't I guessed." I smile at him.

"I'm thirsty." he walked into the kitchen. He yelled from across the house.

"Do you want anything?"

"No. I'm good." I yelled back. He came back with a bottle of water.

"I have to stop by work to get something and I'll pick up Locus."

"Okay be nice to him don't be asking questions."

"Aren't I always nice and I won't interrogate him."

"Promise."

"Promise." he kissed me on my forehead and left. I waited a little to make sure he left. I walked outside, correction I hobbled outside. I didn't know what I was looking for, all I knew is that Mark was out there looking at me. I touched my necklace, the one he gave me. I looked around and saw nothing so I decided to go get the mail. As I was hobbling back to the house there was a letter address to me but had no returned address. I stuck it in my back pocket. As I walked inside the house I realized that services hadn't greet me at the door which was odd. I pt the mail on the coffee table.

"Services where are you?"

"Bark bark bark." I found her in the back yard. I opened the door and she was happy to see me. I bent down and petted her.

"Hello sweet heart I missed you." I wrapped my arms around her neck. She returned the favor by licking my face.

"Services I'm having a friends over be nice okay." I grabbed her face so I could look her in the eye.

"Be a good girl." my dad had bought services for me so she can protect me while dad wasn't home. For a while where ever I went services went and she did her job. Any person who got close to me she would bark at. One day she almost attacked the mail women. When services and I met it was love at first sight. First she didn't really like my dad or my uncle but eventually she warmed up to them. I wonder how she will react to Locus. I heard the front door open. I guess we will find out.

"April were here." my uncle yelled.

"Coming." I got up and walked to the front door with services by my side. As I approached Locus I could feel service tense up. For some reason looking made my heart shine and I felt happy to see him. He looked a little nerves. The next thing I know services is running at Locus at full force.

"Services no!!" I yelled but it was to late services was already at Locus.
