Rocky's POV
Four weeks. Four weeks since the party. Four weeks since two pups had almost had a shot together: Everest and I.After the party, everything has been pretty regular. I eat out my dinner out of my bowl, and Marshall comes in to join me.
"Good morning, Marshall! It's eight! Eight in the evening!" I joke.
I had a bad dream, he said dryly.
Wow. Marshall looked as if he hadn't slept in ages. His eyes are red and bulgy, his tears were dried up on his face. It's almost as if he had a dream of his friend dying or something. But that's just farfetched.
I shrug. "Alright, then. I'm gonna go, uh, do something, okay." I slowly back up and walk away.
Marshall has been kinda akward lately. I don't really care about him doing the poem thing, but now he's starting to creep me out. He makes me paranoid.
On my way to my puphouse, I bump into Zuma. "Hey," I say.
"Hey Rocky. Wanna watch a movie with me?" he asks.
"Sure!" I reply. I was actually in a movie type of mood. Zuma knew me well enough.
We walked into Zuma's puphouse. The walls were painted in a bright, sunset orange; my favorite. Anchors held up a couple buoys on the right wall. It was small, but cozy; a carpeted floor and a green beanbag sitting in the corner of the house. Zuma had great taste for a water pup. He always told me that if his house were bigger, he would make room for a pool in his home. That always cracked me up.
Who would want a pool filled with water in their home?
I loved Zuma. Platonically. I never wanted to date him, because he's not my type, and he doesn't date guys. But as a friend, he was always my favorite. But I never tell Chase.
Zuma takes out Ryder's old pup pad. He told me that Ryder let him borrow it for the night.
"Okay, let's choose a movie," he said.
Zuma scrolled through the movies. He scrolled quite a bit, looking at me. "Stop! This one!" I point at a movie titled Zootopia.
"Good choice," says Zuma, smiling. He hit play and the movie began.
After the movie, Zuma had already fallen asleep. He had this cute kind of snore. I layed a blanket over him and quietly left his puphouse.
The movie was decent. It was about a rabbit who had a dream but society judged her because of her size and kind. Then she meets a fox and they go on a mission against the stereotyping constitution. Overall, the message is not to be racist or breedcist. It was a good movie.
Chase's POV
I was chilling with Ryder at the lookout. I head over to my puphouse when I run into Skye."Oh, h-hey Skye," I stammer.
"Hey Chase," says Skye.
I look at her and I realize that I was blushing. Crap. I cover my face with my paw. Skye giggles and removes my paw.
"Hey," she says. "Wanna go for a walk?"
"Sure," I reply. I wasn't tired at all. Also, I could go anywhere with Skye. This was a golden opportunity.
As we walked around Adventure Bay at night, I noticed Skye was taking glances at me a couple of times. She was smiling the entire walk.
We arrive at the beach and take a break there. We sat on the shore, listening to the waves crashing by, and the sun setting under the bridge. Everything was perfect.
Skye sighs romantically and leans her head on me. I smile. She smiles. Nothing could ruin this moment.
"S-Skye," I begin.
"Yes?" she replies.
"I really-
Our pup tags lit up. "Paw Patrol, its bedtime. Hurry back to the lookout!" It was Ryder.
Skye and I enjoy a last moment together before heading back to the lookout.
"Good night Chase," she says.
"Good night."
And for once, I slept perfectly well. It was indeed a good night.
