Eleanor's POV
We finally made it back home after winning the series to the Nationals. I had another little emotional break down at the airport when my brother and I were sharing our goodbyes. This time I wouldn't be able to see him for at least a month maybe even two. To be honest I don't even know when we're playing them again. It breaks my heart because Bryce and I have been so close throughout our whole lives and not being able to see each other for awhile sucks.
Today was one of the rare off days for the team and I was planning on using this day to spend time with Jake and his family. Some of the other guys and their families were all meeting up at a local park and having a picnic so Jake said I could tag along.
I locked up my apartment door before heading to the elevator. Jake just texted me saying that they just got to the park and everyone else was already there. Luckily for me the park was only a couple blocks away from my apartment. I smiled as I stepped outside realizing it was a gorgeous day to spend outside. As I was walking to the park my eyes wandered around taking in every little detail of the things surrounding me. As I came into eye sight of the park I saw a bunch of the guys there. Even ones who didn't have a "family". I saw Kris, Javy, and Anthony swinging and Kyle going down the slide. These men were little children that was for sure.
"Aunt Ellie!" I heard two voices scream across the park having the attention now brought on me. I smiled and bent down picking up Palmer as Cooper hugs my legs.
"Hi guys! How are my two favorite munchkins?" I ask as I kiss Palmers forehead and ruffles Coopers hair.
"Awesome! Aunt Ellie will you push me on the swings?" Cooper asks sweetly. I nod my head as Cooper dashes off to the three grown men on the swings.
"How're you Miss. Palmer?" I asked smiling at the adorable little girl in my arms.
"Good!" She said excitedly. I smile and start walking over to the swings.
"Hi princess." Javy greeted me.
"Hi boys." I smiled at them as I bounce palmer on my hip making her giggle.
"Come push my Aunt Ellie!" Cooper cried out from the swing he sat on in between Kris and Anthony.
"Yes sir! Hey Palmer you wanna sit on Uncle Kris' lap while I push your brother? I heard Kris can swing pretty high." She immediately nodded her head and reached out for Kris. Kris smiled at me as I went over to push Cooper. The boys looked at me in awe as I was laughing along with Cooper as he said some joke.
"Wow princess you're pretty good with kids." Javy commented as he came and stood next to me.
"Oh thanks. I've always had a knack for kids. They seem to like me just as much as I like them." I smiled looking at Kris and Palmer swinging. As if Kris could feel my eyes on him he looked up and smiled at me. I smiled back slightly blushing.
"So you and Kris good now?" Javy asked quietly only loud enough for me to hear.
"Yeah we're getting there." I softly smiled and bumped my hip with his.
"FOODS READY!!!" I heard Juliana yell from the picnic benches. Connor hopped of the swing and held his arms up to me signaling to pick him up. I laughed and complied to his wishes.
As I walked with Connor in my arms I noticed Kris was giving Palmer a piggyback ride.
"Hey Kris I bet Connor and I can beat you and Palmer to the picnic tables!" I challenge him. He smirked.
"You're on princess." I laughed and put Connor on my back.
"Ready. Set. GO!" We both dashed off to where everyone was standing getting their food. The kids were laughing their butts off as we ran.
"WE WIN!" both of us yelled at each other. We laughed and set the kids down.
"Only this once I will agree it was a tie. Because we both know I ALWAYS win." I joked and softly punched his shoulder.

Anthony's POV
As Kris and Ellie played with the kids and shared smiles between each other I could tell even after everything the two of them had put each other through they still loved each other. They were so care free and happy. It made everyone else notice the two and how well they were finally getting along. But not only that they were getting along but how much they looked like a family with Cooper and Palmer by their sides.
"They look so happy." I told Javy as I saw the two racing each other with the kids on their backs.
"They really do. I'm glad to see her smiling more. And he hasn't stopped stealing glances at her all day. It's like everything that's happened between the two doesn't matter at this moment. I just hope it lasts." Javy's accented voice replied.
"I have an idea. To get the two back together. And I have a good feeling it's gonna work. I just need a little help from you and the guys. Are you in?" I asked tearing my gaze away from the next victims of the "Love Doctor Rizzo". He laughed and agreed.
Let the games commence.
