(5 hours later)

I have been waiting out in the waiting room for a long time with everyone else. I was just hoping Nicki and the baby was okay. Or that I could go in the room.

"It's been five hours already! What's going on?!" Candice asks. She was pacing back and forth for a while.

"No one has came back and said anything" Sherika says.

"Can y'all just calm down? Meek are you okay?" Candice asks me.

"Yeah. Thanks for asking." I say. "You think I stressed her out too much?" I asked.

"I'm not sure but all that could of stressed her out" she says. "Nicki is strong though. Us being her best friends we see how happy she is having a baby. And how in love with you she is. We would of never guessed" she says. I smile.

"Nicki changed my life after we got together. It's not the fact that I never liked her. If anything that was the problem, I always liked Nicki and it was troubling for me to see her with SB and not see me like she see him"

"One thing I can say is that she doesn't see you like she sees SB. She sees you as something better than SB" she says.

"You think?"

"Do I think? Boy my best friend is having a baby by you. Y'all moved into a house together. She is willing to get married. Your delivery is better than his. But that temper. You are hood and street savvy. And Nicki just can't deny it" she says making me laugh.

"You can't either with my boy Omelly" I say. She laughs.

"That's a discussion for another time but Meek I know Nicki sees the best in you. And that's all that matters right?" She asks.

"Yeah" I say. "I try not to care about what others think of me".

"If you're talking about Thembi she is like the body guard of Nicki. She is always looking out for her because she is the one who feels what Nicki feels. She respects the fact of your relationship. She just doesn't want you to be who you were when you weren't together to her when you are together "

"Nicki makes sure I don't disrespect her but there is no need to. She is a great person" I say. Talking to Candice got my mind to ease a little better. But it did just make me want to talk to Nicki more and I couldn't wait in this waiting room any longer.

I get up and walk down the hall.

"Sir you can't go back there" a nurse says.

"Well do you have any updates on Onika Maraj?" I ask.

"We all won't know anything until a doctor comes out" she says. I had to catch myself from having going off on her. I just breathe and go back to my seat.

(2 hours later)

I see a doctor come my way. I shake Candice and she wakes up Thembi and Sherika.

"What's going on?" I ask.

"Well Onika went through stress shock. It counter interfered with her upcoming contraction and sent her into an early breech" he says.

"An early breech? You mean labor?" Candice asks.

"I know I seen blood" Sherika says.

"Wait so her water broke?" Thembi asks.

"Listen" the doctor says. "We see things happen like this some of the time. "

"I know he isn't about to say what I think he is about to say" I say about to get real emotional.

"What I'm trying to say is there is a high risk chance of her not having the baby since she is in the position of being in labor too early" he says.

"Oh my goodness" Candice says. I just walk away and take a seat. My nerves were so bad.

"Is she up? Is she even okay? Can I go into the room?" I ask as calm as I can be.

"Surgeons are still working with her. It's going to take some time." He says. "I'll let you know when you can go in" he says and walks away.

"We need to pray" Candice says. I pull my phone out and send messages out to a few people. I couldn't deal with this alone.
