(A week later)

Meek

Nicki said to invite friends to a party she wanted to host. I invited my boys and a few female friends of mine out to come chill with us. Nicki's friends were coming too.

"Baby you lookin good as shit" I say pulling her to me. She laughs and mouths for me to stop. I've been flirting with Nicki for a while. She keep curving me but I know I'll have her ass soon.

"Meek these are my close friends Candice, Sharika, Viola, Thembi, and Lauren" she says.

"How y'all doin?" I ask.

"Good" I hear them all say.

"Nicki how long y'all been dating again?"  Lauren asks.

"About 5 months" I hear her answer.

"Oh okay" Lauren says. "I only like some of your music"

"My music ain't for er'body" I say taking a sip of my drink.

"Why you and Nicki decide to date now?" The girl Candice asks.

"We just decided to" I say.

"It's just something we decided to do and it is working for now" Nicki says coming up with a drink in her hand.

"Ooh is that a Sangria?" One of the other chicks asks.

"Yeah, they in the cooler back there" Nicki said coming by me. Two of the friends leave for a drink.

"Y'all don't want anything to drink? We got food" I ask being nice.

"I'm good with the drinks" Lauren says. "I don't even eat too much" she adds. I just nod.

"Viola over here doesn't drink " Nicki says.

"Only when I feel like I need one" she says in defense.

"They good. Just didn't wanna have me standing here without asking" I say.

"Well Meek it was nice talking to you. I guess I'm okay with y'all relationship as long as you treat my girl right" Lauren says. Her and Viola walk off.

"It's just gonna take them some time to get used to it" Nicki says.

"Nah, they cool. I mean you were with Safaree fake love ass for a decade" I say making her laugh. "Anyways you already met my chasers and my big ass cousin Omelly and family friend Chino." I say.

"Nicki Minaj" I hear someone say . Nicki looks over me and gets excited.

"Drake!" She squeals and goes to hug him. After talking for a minute we dap each other up.

"What's good Drake?" I ask.

"Not much. Nic told me to come to this lil myxer y'all got going and to come chill" he says.

"Ard, baby I got some business to handle real quick" I say leaving.

Nicki

After Meek leaves I stay and talk to Drake.

"You know he does that and you still with him?"

"Drake he doesn't effect me negatively with it" I say defensive.

"Nicki some shit he in could make you get caught up"

"Drake is grown and I can handle myself" I say.

"Nicki I know you not wanting to hear it but you know what we are" he says and leaves. Thembi and my other girlfriends walk over.

"Nicki I like Meek but be careful" Candice says.

"I like him too" says Lauren. "We cool" she adds. I laugh.

"Well I'm glad someone thinks and sees him as a good person." I say.

"Nicki we don't think he is a bad person. He just does things that are opposite from what you do" Thembi says. "Considering your previous choice in men, I think your judgement is something we can trust at this point" she adds.

"We respect your decision" Viola says. I smile.

"Not that I needed your opinion" I say making them laugh.

The rest of the guest were chillin. Throughout the myxer I couldn't find Meek anywhere or any of his friends. The party was coming to an end when I try to call him and see where he is.

"Nicki you okay?" Sharika asks walking up to me.

"Yeah" I say.

"Me and the girls were gonna help you clean up and stay to talk " she says.

"That's fine" I say putting my phone in my pocket after sending Meek a text.

After everyone else is gone we clean up and sit up in the living room drinking wine.

"Nic Meek hasn't been around" Thembi announced.

"I think he is out handling some things he forgot about" I say taking a sip of my wine.

"Listen I'm just looking out for you. We've all been friends for over 10 years" she says.

"I know Thembi" I say getting up to hug all of them. I escort them out and then lock the doors back. Going into my bedroom I call Meek again and again but still get no answer.

"Meek where you? I've been calling you for the past three hours, hit me back" I say and then get dressed for bed. Staying up for over an hour I was waiting for Meek. It was past 1 in the morning when I decided to go to sleep.
