(2 days later)

I was sitting up in my studio trying to get more of my album done when my boys walked in.

"Yo Meek we still making our drops in Queens?" My boy Tez asked.

"Yeah, we gotta go and be on the plane in 6 hours " I say .

"Bruh guess who is here" Ace says walking in. I turned on my security cams and seen Alexis standing at the door.

"I'll be back" I say going to open the door. I didn't let her in, instead I walk out and close the door behind me.

"Oh so I'm not welcome anymore?"

"Alexis what you doing here?" I asked.

"Word on the street is you with Nicki"

"And if I was" I say not caring about the blogs.

"Are you?" She asks.

"It doesn't matter if I was. We not together"

"You right but I miss you"

"What that mean? I was sent to jail  and you leave me high and dry then come back and think I belong to you. Nah ma, you got it fucked up" I say.

"Meek I was scared. I don't wanna lose you"

"Too late. No get ya gold digging ass on"

"Excuse me!?" She says loudly keeping me from walking away.

"Bitch you heard me! Only reason you stuck around so long is cause you was after the green and when you thought it was about to be gone you dipped" I said making her go silent. "That's what I thought" I said going back inside my house. I went to hang with my boys until it was time for us to leave.

"Okay you good?" I ask Thembi. I just finished helping her move all her shit into this apartment.

"Yes, thank you again Nic. I love you" she says coming to hug me. I laugh and hug her back.

"You're welcome. I gotta go relax" I say getting ready to leave.

"Okay, I'll call you later. Maybe I'll have a little party for me moving in" she says.

"I'll be here when it happens" I say. She lets me out the house and I leave. I think about going to a place I love eating at to get something to eat to take home. I park my car and get out. I go inside the place and order what I wanted.

"That'll be $36.49 " a girl on the register says with a smile. Just as I pull out my wallet I hear Meek's voice .

"I got it ma" he says and holds out his card. She smiles even harder and swipes his card.

"Here's your receipt" she says handing the food to me with it.

"Thanks but you didn't have to pay for my food" I say. "And what are you doing here?" I ask.

"I was about to get something to eat. I seen you come in from across the street. Me and the boys handling some business out here" he says.

"Oh um okay. Actually I need to talk to you about something. Did you piss off your ex and include me in something with you?"

"What you mean?"

"She texted me earlier asking me if I was dating you" I say.

"What did you say?" He asks.

"I didn't reply. I was busy helping my friend move into her apartment earlier" I say. "But whats up with her and you?"

"Nothing. She showed up at my house and tried getting back with me but she just wants my money" he says.

"Oh, sorry to her that" I say.

"Let me ask you something. What's up with you and SB?"

"Nothing" I say dryly.

"Y'all done for good?" He asks.

"I want us to be, but honestly I don't know" I say. "You put so much into people and they drain you" I say about to think hard on it.

"If you ask me Safare never deserved you. He don't know what he lost" he says.

"Meek what happened to you? I mean weeks ago you were this guy that hated my guts and now you telling me I'm worth something" I say. "I've noticed you change "

"I ain't never change. I'm just being me, but I do appreciate you more than I did before. You did something for me that no one else would do and I'm grateful for it."

"Thanks I guess"

"To tell you the truth I like you. You dope and you fine"

"Whoa, wait a minute" I say laughing. "Am I hearing right?" I ask.

Yes I am just going to go out and tell Nicki how I been feeling about her.

"You mean to tell me you catching feelings?" She asks.

"I ain't catching. I mean I am but I been having feelings for you, but Safaree and you never were not together and that's my boy but he ain't my boy no more and y'all not together from what I've been hearing" I say.

"Meek are you playing with me?" She asks.

"Nope" I say in confidence.

"This is just shocking. I mean I never thought you and me could work together and then you telling me you like me" she says with this expression in her face. "I mean I don't know how to react" she says.

"We ain't gotta talk about it. I gotta get to my chasers and finish handling my business" I say. "Let me walk you to your car" I say. We walk out together and she unlocks her door and gets inside. "You busy tomorrow?" I ask her.

"Yeah up until 6. Why?"

"We should hang"

"Meek you are full of surprises " she says laughing.

"I'm serious" I say. She laughs.

"I'll text you" she says. I back away from the car as she drives off. I'll be waiting. I go back across the street and start counting paper.
