Chapter Eight:

Keren Wilson

I was awaken by something splashed all over me. I sputtered the water or more like piss that was thrown at us while the one who did it laughed maniacally. Gross.

The dizziness I felt earlier was now gone and I’m completely awake. It all sunk back to me at what happened hours earlier.

I remembered being drugged and Eric knocked off. I felt something move behind me and realized that it was Eric. We were tied together and faced in the direction opposite each other. He must’ve woken up because he groaned involuntarily.

We’re in deep shit. We’ve been kidnapped. Goddamn.

……………………………………………………………………….

“Holy fuck. Eric, can you hear me?” I whispered, hoping Eric is fully conscious. I felt him nod but didn’t say anything. Maybe he was still adjusting to the surroundings. I suppose we were in some sort of abandoned building and I could practically smell the ocean air. The building looked so rundown that it could fall and destroy in any second.

Wait, it means we’re inside the warehouse near the sea! I remember that this place used to be one of the places where they held underground fights. They’ve had a minor technicality on the supposed-to-be venue for the fight so they just held it in here. It’s just a few meters away from the school and if we move fast and enter the school grounds, we’re partially safe. I’ve discovered a lot of hiding spots in there and we could buy some time before we call the police.

I looked around, only to come face to face with a raged psycho. He has shiny brown hair that covered most of his eyes. His eyes was of icy blue color and it looks like he was someone ready to kill anytime. It seems that he looked very familiar but I couldn’t remember when or where I’ve met him but I’m sure he’s someone I’ve fought with before.

“The Sleeping Beauty is finally awake. How was your sleep, love?” He chuckled slightly but I could feel that there’s more to that than it really is. I wouldn’t be kidnapped without a reason and I’m sure that I’m the reason we’re in this situation. I even got Eric dragged in this mess.

He bent down and gripped my hair so that I could face him. His fingers sunk on my scalp but I would not risk to fight it off. I’m not that stupid to start a struggling fight with my enemy clearly dominating. I just sat there as calm and composed  as I could and I knew that my calmness is annoying our crazy kidnapper.

I glared at him and pursed my lips. He was holding a knife and he was pointing it at me. Who the hell cares anyway? If he’s trying to kill me then he should be prepared of how I would retaliate. I would not allow myself to be killed without starting hell first.

He was wearing on his face an evil grin but all I could give him back was a bored look. What the fuck is this?

“What do you want psycho?” I asked him without any emotion in my voice. Eric flinched behind me but didn’t say anything. Tension started to form in the room and I knew that our kidnapper is done playing games. He’s now moving on to something more serious.

I know that because it showed in the way his eyes darkened and how his pupils dilated and the way his grin disappeared in his face, only to be replaced with an angry façade. We just glared at each other as if trying to kill one another with just our glances until I found my stomach growling when I least expected. Not Now!!

Eric chuckled behind me and our kidnapper’s thin lips formed into a smile. He then laughed loudly and shouted out of nowhere.

“Boys! Bring some crackers here will you? It seems like our little hostage is hungry.” All of a sudden, guys with tremendously big bodies came in. Holy crap.
