Chapter Four:
“Keren Wilson, what am I ever gonna do to you?” Mrs. Anderson started her rant. Well, it’s not like I’m not used to it either so I just looked around the room and admired it’s interior design. I mean seriously, what kind of a principal would put a kitchen in a principal’s office? Certainly Mrs. Anderson.
“Expel me then if that’s what you want.” I taunted. This may seem like a joke if you ask me. I mean, who would expel the top student in school? Certainly not Mrs. Anderson.
“You know I could put you into suspension if you keep doing this. I could even call your parents right now that you’re suspended for a week.” She snapped. Oh boy, it’s getting pretty nasty and hot in here, don’t you think?
“Why the long wait? Why not just do it now? You know, I’d be more than willing to not see your face for a week and it’s gonna be worth it. Oh and couldn’t you make it a month or two? I badly need a vacation to Hawaii.” I mocked and her face twitched like it’s going to blow up any second. Who would dare talk back to a principal anyway? Certainly, that’s me.
“That’s why I won’t do it because I know you’d find pleasure in it if I did.” She said through gritted teeth. I smirked at that. She definitely has skills. If it were any other person in her position, they would probably get a gun and shoot me now. “Instead, I’m giving you a month of community service. You will be cleaning the whole campus after class and be a personal assistant to all the teachers in school.”
My mouth hanged open at this. Oh dear, she really has the guts to give me all that.
“What if I won’t?” I said, totally challenging her. I know I’m the losing side of this conversation but even if heaven and hell collide or it will literally rain cats and dogs, I won’t do it. It’s not like it’s embarrassing since I don’t care about what people would think of me but it’s just that I won’t do it. As simple as that.
“If you won’t? I have no choice but to expel you.” I laughed hysterically at this. Come on! This has got to be the most hilarious thing I have ever heard!
“Expel me then! The hell I care! It’s not like I wanted to attend this stupid school anyway.” I stomped off outside and banged the door. But I knew there was something I forgot to mention. Lemme see. . . Oh! “And for the record, you’re the worst principal I have ever met.”
“Keren! What the hell did you do?!” My mom screamed at the top of her lungs. She just received a letter that I’m suspended for a week but I need to go to school for “community service” or whatsoever. That woman just wouldn’t learn, does she? I mean, she’s going on rampage telling me I will be expelled but then it’s just suspension I get? Where’s the fun in that?
“Oh come on Mom, it’s not like I’m expelled. Even if I’m suspended, I would still be the top student in school. Besides, you wouldn’t want it when I go crazy right?” I nudged her arm playfully, hoping she will calm down a bit. But instead, she gave me a glare that almost sent me stumbling back to the floor.
“You think I’m going to tolerate this? Oh it’s on, Keren. If you won’t go to school to perform your task, I’m afraid I’m gonna have to disown you.” She said and I grunted in response.
“Disown me? Enlighten me, will you?” I rolled me eyes. Erich came out of nowhere with Drake’s arm draped around her shoulder. I gave him the signature death glare I usually gave everyone I hate. Erich must have noticed my hostility because she suddenly wrapped her arms around Drake’s waist. I almost want to puke at that. I diverted my gaze at Mom who is going furiously red.
“I’m going to send you to your aunt in the countryside and I’m afraid you’re going to have to finish high school there.” I just grunted in response. I wouldn’t want to talk back if she keeps saying herself that. She’s not really the joking kind of woman and you wouldn’t want to mess with her anyway. I turned around and made my way upstairs.
