Today was the day.
The worst day in the history of days.
Now what was this day you may ask?
It was the kissing scene.
My character Leah, had to kiss Wyatt's character, Stan.
Don't get me wrong though, Wyatt is awesome-
but I liked someone else. And that someone else was Jaeden Lieberher. The feeling is pretty mutual though. Aside from kissing, we did things most couples would do.
Holding hands, cheesy pick up lines, ice cream dates.
But we were both too scared to make a move.
"Amelia! Wyatt! Time for take one!" Andy shouted at us from outside the makeup room.
"Well, good luck Amelia." Wyatt said with a wink. He knew how to get to me. Being like a brother, we were really close. But who wants to kiss their brother?
Walking out of the room I felt my hands clam up. All I could hear from the sidelines were 'oooo's coming from the cast. I flipped them off, and walked on to set.
Jaeden sat looking glum, giving Wyatt death glares.
Before I knew it, the scene was starting.
"L-leah. Thank you. For saving me back there. I would be dead if it wasn't for you." Stan said, eyes lined with fresh tears.
"Of course. You know. Uhm. I really uh. Screw it." Leah said
She pressed her lips to his, immediately getting a positive response from Stan.
His hands reached to her waist and hers to his shoulders.
"I really like you." Leah said, her forehead pressed against his.
"As do I."
"AND CUT! That was great guys! Shootings complete for today. Have a great night." Barbara said, collecting her things.
"So Amelia, how was that kiss over there?" Finn said while a wide eyed Jaeden watched closely.
"Look. I don't like him like that."
Jaeden sighed with relief.
"Sure you don't. We all saw that little moment on set." Jack butted in, making me want to kick him in the gut.
"You know what, I'll prove it. So maybe then you'll all shut the hell up."
My character had a newfound confidence going for Stan; and I don't know what it was but I felt it too.
It could've been the one too many Starbucks drinks this morning, or the fact that I couldn't wait much longer to do this.
I walked over to a sitting Jaeden who immediately stood up once he noticed my presence.
"Hey Amelia is everything-"
I grabbed the back of his neck and smashed my lips onto his. For like; a really long time.
You could say I was trying to prove my point to Jack & Finn, which i was; but this was just an added bonus.
He held my lower back close to him and we moved in sync.
When I pulled away I was met with both Jack & Finn staring.
I slung my arm around Jaeden's shoulder and his around my waist.
"Not much to say is there now, eh?" I remarked.
Later that night, Jaeden and I were watching tv in his trailer.
"Hey Amelia?"
"Yeah, what's up Jaeden?"
"Well, that kiss earlier. Were you only trying to prove a point? Or did you feel something too?"
Or did you feel something too.
Fireworks. That's what I felt. Pure happiness.
"I was on top of the world Jaeden. Sharing the view with you."
He leaned in and I did too.
I guess today wasn't so bad after all.
