Dals girl (a sequel to the other Curtis)

Chapter 1

I woke up in the hospital, having no clue about what happened. Darry, soda, Steve, and two-bit were right by my side. "What happened?" I asked making them jump a little. "The Soc rammed into the back of steves car and it flipped us." Soda said. How ya feelin kid?" Darry asked. "My side hurts a little but I think I'm fine. Where's pony, Johnny, and Jamie?" I asked. They all looked at each other. "They uh are at the house." Darry said. "Why are they there?" I questioned. "I don't know.  None of us do.  Johnny told pony something and now pony is mad. And pony won't let Jamie come. That's all we know." Steve said. "You know what it's about?" Darry asked. I nodded my head. This was the last thing I needed. "Yea I know what it's about. It's all so stupid. Pones mad at me. He should let Jamie come if she wants." I said frustrated at pony. They all nodded their heads. "We tried to tell the kid but he wouldn't change his mind." Steve said. Then the doctor came in. "Aw good, she's awake!! You gave us quite the scare Samantha." The doctor said. His tag read doctor smith. "Can I talk to Samantha for a minute? Alone? Please?" Doctor smith asked. The guys nodded their heads and left the room. "How are ya feelin?" He asked me while looking at a chart. "I'm a little light headed and my side hurts a little but that's it." I said. He nodded his head. "That's gonna happen. You broke some of your ribs and have a slight concussion as well as some other minor injuries." Doc. Smith said. I nodded while he talked. "Samantha I'm gonna be honest with. Once you leave this hospital you may have some new....challenges." Doc smith said trying to find the right words. "What do you mean?" I questioned.  "I mean you may not be able to walk or think like you used to." He said. I looked at him. I seemed normal for the most part. "Why?" I asked. "We really have no clue Miss. Curtis." He spoke in a tone that didn't have any emotions in it. I tried to move my legs and failed to do it.  "You have to know why I can't move them?" I asked him. "You broke them pretty bad and we could fix that but some of the muscles in the legs were messed with. There are chances of you walking again, but they are slim to none." He said before walking out the door. The guys walked back in the door. I was almost in tears. I looked at soda Steve and two-bit. "Can you three go get Jamie please. And feel free to throttle pony for me to." I said. They nodded and walked out the door. It left me and Darry. "Dare I'm scared." I said. "I know sweetheart." Darry said hugging me and rubbing circles on my back. "Tell me it's all going to be alright superman." I said starting to cry while holding on to Darry for dear life. I held onto him like I was going to die if I let go.  "I wish I could sis." He said. I could hear the tears in his eyes.  Darry and I stayed like that till they got back with Jamie. "Oh Sam!!" She chocked out running and giving me a hug. Jamie looked at them then they went out of the room. "Pony and Johnny told me what happened." She said. "I don't really want to talk about it Jamie. I'm no better the Sylvia." I said. "You are better then her. You made a mistake. It's hard for you. They will get over it. I've just about kicked ponys head in." Jamie said. I chuckled a little. "The doctor said I might never walk again." I chocked out.  "I know. Steve told me. He's really upset about the crash. Him and soda would have both given up everything to be in your place. They came out with out a scratch and then look at you." Jamie said."but that doctor don't know you very well does he?" She asked with a chuckle. I shook my head. "Listen as soon as I get out of here I'm going to go talk to Dallas." She said. "Tell him I love him. And that I can't wait to see him." I said. "I will." She said. "Jamie the doctor says immediate family only right now." Darry said poking his head in the door. Jamie nodded. "Bye Sam." Bye Jamie." I said as she walked out the door.  Darry walked in as she walked out. Soda followed him. "Brought ya a book." Soda said. "Thanks." I said with a smile while I took the book from his grasp. "Look Jamie told us." Soda said. I cursed under my breath, Darry heard. "Language." He warned. "That was supposed to be a secret a me and Johnny thing and not go any further. Just forget all about. Pretend it never happened. As soon as I can do it pretend I never happened." I said. "What does that mean?" Darry asked. "I mean as soon as I turn 18 and can walk I leaving Tulsa. It'll make all your lives better." I told them. "Now Sam you ain't goin anywhere. We love you even if you make mistakes like that.  Everyone does it in order to grow. We can't keep you from growing up and doing stuff like that. The only thing now is keeping Johnny alive if dal finds out." Soda said. "He's not gonna find out." I told them. "How do you know that?" Darry questioned. "I got a rep to protect and at this point I'm no better than Sylvia. So dals not gonna find out." I said. "Again with the rep Sam? You are so much better than the rep you act like you have. None of us care about your rep. We all know you for you  not how tuff your are." Soda said. "At this point i don't even care anymore. Let the cards fall where they may as long as I get out of this hospital alive." I said. Darry and soda nodded. The doctor came in. "Sam we want to take you down to physical therapy and hopefully get you going on the right track so you can go home." Dr. Smith said while a nurse walked in behind him with a wheel chair. "You boys can wait in the waiting room down the hall." Dr. Smith said. I nodded to them for them to leave. I didn't want them to see me like this. "I am Samantha Curtis and I am not weak. I show no weakness." I thought to myself as I got helped into a wheel chair. I'm gonna go walk again and you can take it to the bank that I will be badder than ever.

Hey y'all hope u enjoyed this. I have been working on this since Monday and haven't been able to finish and get this chapter up because of school.
