It's was after school when I saw a beat up red truck sitting where Adam usually stays when he picks me up. I shrugg it off and decided not to wait for my driver.

On my right, is Shawn and Zac, just stareing like they want to talk to me, but something was holding them back.

On my left, was Veronica and all of my ex-friends. They glare at me coldly, like if their gaze would cause hypothermia.

The driver gets out and goes around the truck. He had a smug smile I would've recognize any where. Dean. Perhaps the only friend I had who didn't see me as a famous persons' child.

"Dean?" I whispered. I notice my heart pounding faster. "Dean!" I rush over to him.

"Reggie!" Dean meets me half way, calling me by a nickname he gave me when we were in preschool. (That's a another story for an other time.)

We embrace in a tight hug that lifted me off the ground. "Reggie, you've grown!" Dean sets me down.

"So have you, my goodness!" I readjusted my bag. "What brings you to Hollywood High?"

Dean shrugs his shoulders. "Your driver said that he had to take your Pop to some place and asked if I could pick you up."

"Pop?" I raise an eyebrow. "What are you doing in L.A. then?"

"My dad got a job as an architect; we had to move here." Dean walks over to his truck and opens the door for me.

"Thank you." I say as I hop into the vehicle. "When did you guys move?"

"Well, my dad got things settled. Then a few months later, my mother and I moved here." He goes around to his side and hops in. "I've only been here for a few weeks."

"Well, that's interesting. But how'd you know where I live?"

"Our dads are working on a project for the NBT. I had to go with my dad to your house a couple times. I hoped to catch you, but you weren't there."

He peels out of the drive way of the school. "Geez, slow down." I gripped the dash board. "Then how come Dad never told me about you?"

Dean slowed down. "Hmm, I don't know."

(Veronica's POV)

"Who the hell was that?!" I mutter.

"I don't know, but he's hot." Sara giggles. I wouldn't agree with her out loud, but yes he was smoking hot. Micky elbows her lightly. "Sorry, boo." She kisses him on the cheek.

I roll my eyes and scoffed. "Oh please, forget how hot he is. He's fresh meat and I'm determined to rip Tiffany apart with it."

I still can't belive she quit! I had become so dependent on her.

Just this morning, I was waiting for her to make sure I was up. To make sure I had everything. I used to hate her for doing that, but I guess that's why I hired her to do it. To make sure I have everything and do everything on time. After all, I'm the Next Big Thing.

(Shawn's POV)

"Who does he think he is?" Zac scoffed as the dude peeled out of the school's drive way with Tiffany.

"I don't know. Why'd he call her Reggie?" I started to walk, Zac right beside me.

"They probaly are old friends." Zac shoved his hands into the pockets of his new jeans.

"God knows she needs a real friend. Thanks to stupid Veronica, Tiff is probaly thinking a 100 different ways to kill us."

"Please, if anything - she's planning to kill Veroinca and her new group." Zac kicked a pebble.

"Yeah, probaly right Zac. Wanna grab some food to eat?"

"Wanna go to my place? My mom just got a bunch of these meatballs I just love!"

"Yeah! It's been so long since I had that stuff." We increased our pace to get some food.

All the while there, I just kept hoping that the new boy could make her happier then I can. I did so much damage to her. It kills me.
