Emotions

Neji pov
"I asked you to do one little thing and you curse at me?" I asked. "One little thing? You've been bossing me around since the hospital. I took out those guys while you acted like a prissy little weakling! Pull your own weight okay? I'm sick of you acting like you're in charge of me!" he snapped. I walked up to him and grabbed his shirt. "Gaara. I don't have time for your shit. Suck it up and move on." I said annoyed. Why is he blowing up now. When our friends need our help. His eyes softened and he pushed away.

"Right. I understand." he said and got the medical kit. "Emotions are shit now." he said. "Gaara no. It just not the time for you to be blowing up okay?" I explained exasperated. "You always sat that! You always tell me to suck it up and we'll talk later. But right now. I just can't.  I can't do that anymore." he whispered his voice cracking.

Omg he's serious. Shit. I hurt him. I grabbed his hand and pulled his close. "Sorry. I-" "No its fine I get it. I annoy you. When I get emotional. I'm sorry for that. We should just worry about them right now." he said pushing away. He opened the medical kit and wrapped Zi's reopened cut. "Right" I said.

Gaara pov
Everything hurts. I don't get why. When he said we were just friends my heart died. Then he started getting mad. This is why I should never show emotion. They just get in the way. I should just suck it up. But still I didn't want him to agree with me. I wanted him to tell me my feelings mattered. To him at least. But I guess they don't.

"Gaara?" Zi asked waking up. "Hey Zi. How are you feeling?" I asked. He sat up and rolled his shoulder. "I'm fine....... Jeane?!? Omg Jeane are you ok?" he asked the sleeping male. Jeane had the least damage out of all surprisingly. "He's fine. But Naruto and Temari aren't doing so well." I explained pointing towards them where Neji was tending them. He sighed and layed back down.

"What happened?" he asked holding his head. "Ummm well you got hit by this giant wave and fell down a waterfall." I said awkwardly. "I know that. But where did it come from? That wave was unnatural we should be dead." he whispered.

Jeane groaned in pain as he shifted upwards. "Zi?" he asked looking around. "Jeane! Are you okay?" Zi asked sitting up. He froze and looked around again. Tears built up in his eyes. "No no no no no!" he cried blinking frantically.

"Jeane what's wrong!" I asked reaching for him. "I-I can't fucking see!" he shrieked. Neji came over quickly. "Why can't I see anything? Is this permanent?" he asked sobbing at the thought. "Probably not." Zi said rubbing circles into his back. "But we need you to stay quiet. We're being hunted right now." Neji said placing a hand on his shoulder. I can't believe he's blind! He can't be!

Silent sobs shook his body as he clutched himself.

+++++Timeskip 10 minutes+++++

No pov
Temari jolted awake gasping for her breath. "Naruto!" she screamed. Gaara and Neji we at her side in an instant. "Temari! Are you okay?" Gaara asked his older sister. She nodded slowly processing what had happened. "Naruto....he.....he did it." she whispered. This sparked Zi's attention and he slowly made his way towards her.

"What do you mean? He asked confused. "I mean he caused the wave. He was mad. I-I pushed his buttons and he snapped." Temari answered.

Gaara and Neji glanced at each other. Naruto wouldn't do that would he? Well they didn't really know the boy so their was no saying what he could do. The said boy was wide awake and was listening to their conversation.

They probably hate me now. I can't believe I hurt someone again! Maybe the villagers are right. Maybe I'm cursed.
Naruto sat up silently. They all turned their heads towards the smaller boy.

"Naruto?! How are you feeling?" Gaara asked helping him sit up. "I'm sorry." he whispered. The redhead blinked in surprise. "What!" he said. "I'm sorry!" Naurot yelled bowing his head.

Temari stood up and lifted his head. "You have nothing to be sorry for Naruto. We're all fine. Well except for Jeane. But he'll manage." she said smiling. Naruto stared in surprise. He didn't think they would forgive him. "I-" he choked. "Don't sweat it. What else are friends for?" Jeane said with his usual perkiness. Is this what having friends is like? They said they're my friends! I have friends now!
Naruto smiled and giggled softly.

But the happy moment didn't last long when they heard the villagers below screaming for the demon to be found. They were all solemnly reminded that they were hiding, that they were outcasts, that they had to fight.
